Bar Louie is the best place to get a drink and have fun in Gainesville especially on Saturdays!! The waitress Sarah was awesome, made the night fun, and kept us laughing! Highly recommend it. Two thumbs up � �

This is a nice quiet spot for a weekday lunch - it doesn’t get super busy until Happy Hour starts. The atmosphere is a cross between pub/sports bar. There are TVs visible from pretty much everywhere in case you don’t want to miss the game. It’s a large space too with tables ranging from 4 person to large group options in addition to the bar seating. Food is pub grub with good fish n chips (although the fish portion was a little on the small side). My son had the gastroburger which he pronounced the best burger he’s had in a while. Portion size was good, big enough he couldn’t finish the fries. They have an extensive array of cocktails, wine and beer - but don’t look for frozen drinks, they can’t make those. Service was very fast and friendly. Especially considering they are understaffed like many places these days. We snagged on street parking right in front, but there are large lots since it’s at the mall. Overall a very pleasant meal.

My friend and I stopped in here before a concert. We sat at the bar and was served immediately by the nicest bar tender. Service was fast, and everyone was smiling. We both had the salmon entree and were so surprised with how delicious it was! I also appreciate the great happy hour deals.
Stopped in for some food and a couple drinks late at night. The food was good and our waiter was friendly and kept up with our drinks. Would definitely go back again to try the regular menu, we only ordered a few appetizers.
The food is actually really good for “bar food”. Service was great, but I dined there just as they opened and was the only customer. I have also visited in the evening, but just stopped in for a drink. The vibe is a bit weird. This franchise seems to have an identity crisis and is trying to cater to a very very broad set of demographics. Other locations I have visited tend to cater to the younger crowd and attract a significant happy hour crowd. This place had a mix of happy hour/after work crowd. Older (50 +) and then families with small children. I don’t think all of those things belong in the same basket, but that’s just me.
The food and drinks are yummy and the happy hour specials make this even more appealing. I will say that the atmosphere could be cleaned up a bit. The bar area is nice and inviting but the main seating area looks a bit run down. I think because of that the bar area is maybe understaffed for the majority of the customers preferring to sit in that area but overall love the food menu and will be back.
Last night my fiancé and I went to bar louie for a couple drinks. The bar was VERY busy and they were SEVERELY understaffed.
Thankfully our bartender Katina was extremely attentive. We never saw her stop running around ALL night. She was very busy taking MULTIPLE orders simultaneously. I felt bad for her (and the other female bartender), because the one male bartender kept yelling and freaking out in front of everyone!!! Doesn't seem very professional. Overall we had a great experience thanks to the girls behind the bar. We will be back, but BarLouie needs to increase their staff. We just felt really bad for the ladies bartending.
This is a great spot and a well-known watering hole for the local area. They have a very good menu with a range of options. I had the sliders and tots. The bar is on point with a number of drink options on the menu and a full bar for whatever you wantS they also have a broad tap and bottled beer selection. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to find in the shopping center just of I66. Enjoy!

As a restaurant worker myself, I hold a high level of respect for my fellow kitchen crews, servers, bartenders, and all other positions within the food service industry. Having said that, it's very, VERY easy to spot the good, the bad, and the ugly. Safe to say, Bar Louie is here to stay (on the good end of the spectrum).
Very welcoming environment to be within. Regardless of if you sat bartop or had someone lead you to a table, everyone within this establishment will tend to your every need in the best ways possible.
Highlight time: I've met several of the bartenders here and have not ONCE been disappointed. If I had to choose between them all, Brendan is your GO TO GUY. Can't exaggerate this enough:
Based on the FIRST TIME meeting Brendan alongside some friends, it was instant gratification. Brendan knows without a doubt how to read a guest, how to interact with them, how to prioritize, and above all else: How to serve a damn good drink. It's thrilling to meet individuals in the service-industry field that have a level of comfortability and drive, and Brendan is no exception.
I may be only one of hundreds, if not thousands, of reviews, but hear me out when I say:
Bar Louie Gainesville has definitely raised the bar (pun intended) for other bar/restaurants in the area. And if you DO happen to stumble in here? Request Brendan to mix your drink. If he doesn't have a Scooby-Doo tattoo on the right side of his neck, you've got the wrong guy. Don't let this discourage you from being served by other bartenders! The 5 that I've had serve me were fanTASTIC! But my personal MVP thus far will be Brendan.
