I've been to this place numerous times and the experience has always been great. Servers have been very friendly and the food is always delicious. When asking for Thai hot spicy they also definitely deliver too. My favorites here are the Khao Soi, Tom Kha, and Pad Kee Mao, but you really can't go wrong with anything.

Terrible food. Coconut soup is just milk with mushrooms and 2 shrimps. Not tasty at all. Can’t even eat. Rice is terrible as well. Regular rice. Not tasty. No sauces were provided. Bad bad bad !!!!

The food was delicious. The spring rolls Amazing. However, mild is scorching 🥵 ! My husband and I like hear, but when ordering from a new Thai restaurant we always use caution and plan to add our own spice... Mild has me red in the face and panting. Otherwise, it's delicious.

Summary: There has to be better Thai food around here. I'll keep looking. I just moved to Fair Oaks and live near Takieng, so I was hoping it would be good. I've been there twice – once solo and once with friends – but I don't think I'll be going back. It is not nearly as good as its current 4.4 rating would suggest. On both occasions, the stir-fry dishes had over-cooked meat (which made for stringy chicken and rubbery shrimp) and under-cooked, nearly raw vegetables. The flavoring was just so-so. Not all that bad, really, but not really good either. It was nowhere near the level I'm used from the Thai restaurants near my old home. The dishes were edible, but not really enjoyable. Their spiciness levels were weird too. Their "medium" is what I would call "fairly hot but not too bad". A friend who grew up on spicy Chinese food ordered her dish "Spicy" and it was inedibly hot even for her. They said that "Spicy" is the middle of their range, which goes "Mild", "Medium", "Spicy", "Extra Spicy", "Thai Spicy", so I would not expect it to be too hot for her. When we pointed this out, our server didn't offer to have the chef re-make the dish at a more reasonable spice level..She didn't even apologize. She just laughed. So I have to say the service was not really that great either. So: mediocre food, crazy spice levels, and mediocre service. Three strikes and you're out!

We had lunch specials. Lots of food and the Thai style fried rice was awesome! I highly recommend it. I had pad Thai, which is always a delicious classic. The server told me that the restaurant owners have a family member that has to eat gluten free so they really get it. Great food with a good grasp of gluten free is such a wonderful thing for people like me with allergy issues. My mom loved the cucumber salad. She said you could really taste the fresh crispness. Great lunch, we will definitely be back.

Wife and I had a great experience here today. The place was amazing. We admired all the detailed wood artwork that were displayed while waiting for our food. Our order came out exactly what we ordered and it was very delicious. We got the extra spicy red curry and Some kind of noodle dish. The environment is very clean and organized, so were the restroom. Will definately come back and recommend to our foodie friends.

I went here a few years ago.. Still remember the place for its food and for its ambience. I went back to Takieng Thai again and it is even better. Same ambience & great food. They use vegan (and not fish) sauce and start with a small soup & salad on the house. The main course is really amazing especially the cashewnut with brown rice. P.S The shopping complex where Takieng may seem old/run-down but don't be deterred the interiors are gorgeous.

Great quality food across a range of starters and mains, and their Thai spicy is nearly actual Thai spicy. Super friendly and attentive, in a pleasant setting.
