Our server Marcel was very attentive and gave excellent service. The food was cooked to perfection. Only thing that was a little disappointing was the bread pudding that was dry but still very scrumptious.

We visited on Sat 12/19, our party of 4 ordered right after a VERY LARGE party. Food did take a long time but understandable due to the large parties order. Once we received the food it was AMAZING and WELL worth the wait! The food was on point and very very good!!! Highly recommend and will be making the hour drive again!

Came in excited to eat at the best restaurant in Dade city with glowing reviews and a bold reputation. Left disappointed. Staff was okay at best. The real issue we had was the food quality. To give them credit it did come out promptly and with good presentation but the taste was disappointing at best. I ordered the cigar city gumbo, a "house specialty" that was very salty with little other flavor. Most Cajun/creole food is made with savory flavors and often spicy. This gumbo had no spice at all and was largely bland save for overwhelming saltiness. The bread was somewhat stale but overall tasted decent. Our other order was the Danish salmon with the blue crema sauce. This dish was better with more flavor but the sauce was unevenly distributed so some bites were flavorful and others were little more than wet white rice. Our drink orders were similarly inconsistent. Our red sangria was very good, well balanced. The white sangria on the other hand was heavy handed with the alcohol. Our mojito had dying mint leaves and very little citrus flavor. Overall the experience was okay but left a lot to be desired from such a supposedly famous restaurant. I suspect that the flavors praised by Dade city denizens are some of the best they've had but that just means they haven't experienced the authentic flavors imitated by this restaurant.

Dropped in for lunch. Pleased with service and good quality. Fried chicken sandwich was outstanding. There are healthier choices, salads etc. Would definitely do it again.

The green door has amazing food and the large dinning room is spacious with brick walls and large wood tables. The jambalaya appetizer was seasoned just right and the grilled salmon with fresh asparagus was amazing. The service was casual but very friendly.

I recently hosted a bridal shower in their "new" private room. We searched all over for the perfect venue - from St. Pete to Clearwater to Tampa. As soon as I walked in, I knew this was it! The room is absolutely breathtaking. So open, bright, with the perfect rustic touches that add so much charm and sets it apart from anywhere else. And then there's the food. Oh my goodness, every party guest was commenting on how delicious the food was! We coordinated a "brunch and bubbly" including a mimosa bar and a brunch buffet. I could not believe how reasonably priced they were for the amount of food that we received. The owners are so flexible and easy to work with, and the server that helped us on the day of the bridal shower was wonderful as well! I can't say enough good things about the awesome day that we had here. If you are looking for a venue for a rehearsal dinner, Bridal shower, baby shower, or any special event, look no further! Thank you GDO8 for making this such a special memory for the bride!

At first, I wasn’t impressed. We arrived before the dinner rush and it still took nearly 45 minutes for our food to arrive. And that would be understandable had we not watched guests that arrived after us getting their food. And when it did finally arrive, my order was wrong. Obviously a breakdown in communications between the server and the kitchen. But even with that experience, the food was excellent. And the owner graciously and generously made things right when it was time to settle the bill. In return, we were able to share his generosity with his staff. We will go back.
