Captain D's

When you first come in the place is very welcoming and clean. We placed our order and they brought the food to the table. The food was delicious at this location. The manager came around to all the tables to make sure everyone was satisfied and was very pleasant. This Captain D's sets the bar for all other Captain D's.

From the road it thought it was a restaurant but it was more like a fast food place. A fish type place instead of burger k**g. It was alright. Most of their menu is fried. We did have the okra and green beans which was absolutely great. The have chicken strips on the menu but they were over done and a little tough. Got the beer battered fish, it was good but very oily. They sold machine was broken so if you wanted a refill you had to ask them and at times they were busy. All in all, if you want a drive thru alternative to burgers it was good.

Oysters were extremely hard and small. I spent 3.99 and threw them away. Why? Because I drove from Tampa to dade city and was extremely disappointed. Maybe next time I'm headed that way I'll stop, but I won't travel specifically for this place. Everything else I ordered was ok. Not great or even good, just ok.
