My neice who now lives in Columbus told me about this place. It sounded like a place I went to here in New Jersey, along time ago. I met her and boyfriend there when I was in Columbus. It was like going back into a time capsule! This is the last remaining York Steakhouse. Food and service was excellent. Also highly recommend the desserts. They should reopen around the country and start in NJ!!

York Steak House is very Nostalgic with cafeteria style dining! The salad bar has many delicious items to choose from. Across from the now demolished mall. The sirloin tips and rolls are very good! A lot of great memories here!

We stopped in for dinner while visiting the area. It appears to be very crowded based on the parking lot and the line when we went in. However, we through very quickly, the place is larger than we expected so there was plenty of seating. The place is setup cafeteria style. You order your food and the salads, drinks and dessert is self served as you go through the line. We ordered the Sirloin and Shrimp dinner. All of the meals come with salads and drinks. They were all delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive.

Used to go here when I was a kid, it was a long time ago and they were everywhere. As a kid I loved the huge dinner rolls...still got them!! Food cooked the way I wanted, it was refreshing to open my baked potato and it be hot! They still have the deserts to tempt you as you walk along the cafeteria style line. Only reason I dinged the service was I never got a refill on my coke. Other than that it was like a step back in time for me.

I have so many fond childhood memories of this place and I’m happy to continue to bring my family here. It’s different than your usual restaurant. You walk in and order, take a tray and your silverware, they give you salad bar plates if they came with your meal; and you continue down the line to pick a desert, make your salad, get your drink and condiments and pay. Then you pick a table and a server comes by to get your ticket and introduce themselves. The food is great. I suggest the baked fish (almonds are optional) and my kids love the chicken parmigiana. One of my favorite restaurants!
