We came here because of the outstanding reviews. But no, I would never recommend this place. First of all they weren't running their AC. So when you walk into the resturant when its 97° outside, it's 78° inside. So I was sweating while waiting for my food to show up. When we got our food, my boyfriend tried out the mashed potatoes. THE MASHED POTATOES WERE OLD AND FILMY. The fried oakra was cold. This was all around disappointing. When the waitress came to ask us if we enjoyed our meal we told her "No, we did not." And she said "Okay great!" And walked off. UM, WHAT? I guess she wasn't listening? Such great customer service skills!!! *sarcasm* The best part was getting the meal comped and leaving. Never, ever, would I come back.

MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!!! Food was good but the waitress tried to get a double tip by automatically adding a 20% gratuity for 2 people with a bill under $25. Which would not be an issue had it been known a head of time. At checkout we inquired about it and the cashier didn't know why it was added to our bill. He did remove it, however we do not like people trying to steal from us. Very unprofessional deed by the waitress. We will not be coming back here to eat. Unfortunate because the home cooking here is enjoyable. Disappointed to say the least.

Missed breakfast by 10 minutes because we didn’t know they didn’t serve all day so we decided to stay for lunch. Ended up getting a burnt sandwich and cold fries. Water tasted like chemicals. Tried a lemonade, also tasted incredibly odd. Heard other tables complaining about the soda and the server said there was an issue with the machine. Unapologetic wait staff that charged us for a full meal that was really inedible. Very disappointed considering this place had so many good reviews.

This place usually has decent food, on this one occasion the food brought out was cold and did not taste as it usually does. Brought this to the attention of the waitress and she goes I don't know what to do, let me get manager. She gets manager and he is like what wrong, we said our food is cold, he goes you want it replaced and we all said yes. He grabbed the cold food and took it to kitchen with him. Shortly later food is returned warmer with same lousy taste. We get our ticket to pay and manager is running register, we ask do you have a new cook because the food don't taste as it usually does, he got angry and said no same cook!! He said people's tastes change and that is what it must be. We stated we all noticed the difference and he seriously got angry and started arguing about how we thought his food tasted different. We had already paid for the meals and wasn't trying to get any discounts or anything, but just letting him know it was not as good as usual and the manager wanted to be disrespectful and argue this. This will be our last time eating at Susannah's. The disrespect of this restaurant is no good.

Ate here once and it was terrible. I'm recently retired military and have had some questionable field rations in my time, but I couldn't even drink the ice water because it, like everything else, tasted literally like trash. Neither my son or I could eat more than one bite of the breakfast we ordered. Just paid and left, which is more than the food deserved. Honestly, I'm surprised we didn't get sick. Maybe it was a fluke, but that is our experience.

Got there at 10:35 the man at the door said we could do breakfast or lunch. The waitress came over and said breakfast is over at 10:45 she didn't come back over till 10:50 waited 15 minutes before she would take her order. Take away one star because I'm not sure if the guy lied to me or that the waitress did not want to take our order. I take another star away because the food wasn't up to par. The squash was the consistency of applesuce was and the chicken fried steak looks like the cook didn't want to unfold it so here's a photo.

This place is not what it use to be. First off the restroom was in a horrendous state of disarray. Sewage was back flowing into the sink. If that wasn't enough, the waiter was disgruntled to say the least. His attitude was deplorable at best, stating "the owners are too cheap for creamer". His demeanor was "put out", when asking for coffee. I would not recommend this restaurant. In the event you find your self here, do not ask for coffee or creamer.
