A quiet pizza joint with excellent New York Style pizza (as they advertised it). It was in fact close to Neapolitan pizza at least from the thin crust perspective. The service was good and quick, great for a quick bite/lunch.
We tried a couple of the vegetarian pizza as well – Artichoke & Spinach, Mushrooms pizza and they were delicious. The meat topping pizza was as good as it looks in the video. The location was very convenient, as we were walking around close to the river. Prices were very reasonable - $5 ish per slice, cannot beat that for the quality.

People in NYC and CHI take the late night pizza game for granted. It's not that I dislike Cali's late night food selection. Who doesn't like tacos, elote, and hot dogs. Still, there's something about late night pizza, and Dough Bros has it on lock.
The only reason it's not a five star review is because none of us are the best judge of food quality when intoxicated, but from what I recall, it was dope (not the narcotic older gen).
Let's put it this way. It's eat through the pain pizza. You know what I mean. It's late, the pizza is fresh, and you hate the roof of your mouth. After two piping hot slices, it hates you back, but it's the ex you keep dialing up late at night.
I have no complaints. They serve by the slice or whole pies (flex my East Coast), the price is reasonable, and it's in downtown. What's not to like?
One of the best pizza shops I’ve eaten at in Chicago. Crunchy thin crust with a great flavor. Very New York style! Cheese is top quality and sauce also very good. Meat toppings were delicious. Highly recommended!! Excellent prices too. Brick oven
Very cool vibe and delicious pizza. Honestly the only "NY Style" pizza I've had that was good. Also, the young woman behind the register is very pleasant. Will definitely be back every chance I get when I'm in the mood for pizza & I'm downtown. I really like it here.
Tasty! Dough Bros is super cute and very tasty. They have a great lunch menu, two slices of pizza, side salad, and a drink. The ingredients are definitely fresh and quality. I had the spinach & artichoke, and the mushroom. Yumm. I had yhe Caesar side salad, and the dressing was entertaining than anticipated. Not a bag salad, folks. They guys are nice and it's clean with a great location. I'll be back!
Little hole in the wall pizza joint in Chicago. NYC style pizza. Quick, easy, in and out in under 5 minutes. Taste is amazing, char on the under carriage with no flop. Price point was great, 4 slices under $20 before taxes. Telling everybody about this place that goes to Chicago that loves NYC style pizza!
Delicious thin crust pizzaaaaaa! Every bite is like the first bite all over again! *Chef kiss* Hands down my favorite spot to grab a slice of pizza! Very friendly staff too.
Great pizza by the slice... Had the square sausage and pepperoni. Very nice, fluffy and doughy. Great for a casual dinner.
We are visiting from Indy! This spot was around the corner from our hotel. The pizza was good and the staff was friendly. We got the Italiano (pan), pepperoni and sausage (pan) and a slice of cheese pizza.
Delicious pizza by the slice, but I will agree with other reviewers... there is too little sauce for the pizza, and also the price is too high for the portion given. Apart from that, it is authentic in form, but $5 for a NY-style cheese slice that “is” that "dollar-slice" in NY is not a deal. However, it’s not like you’re gonna sprout iron legs and walk to Manhattan for a more authentic slice at a more authentic price.
If they went all in, they could have offered some of the NYC pizza condiments too, like optional oregano, crushed basil, and hot sauce for minimal price. However options are lean and margins are big and healthy as a result.
Fortunately, this location offers other forms of pizza too (like Detroit-style) and its location is very convenient for people staying at the hotels nearby.
