Small Cheval- Wicker Park

This place has the best GF lettuce wrap burger I have ever had. Most places give you one piece of lettuce and call it a wrap, at Small Cheval, you get a legitimate wrap, not just one piece of lettuce. You can eat it just like a burger with buns, for those who can't do bread. Fries are awesome as well and are cooked in a dedicated Gluten Free fryer. The seating outside was plentiful, and the heat lamps did an amazing job of keeping us warm in december. Definitely coming back when we're back in Chicago!

Tasty burgers , you will savor each bite of their amazing double cheese burger, delicious garlic mayonnaise, been around multiple places , theirs is a unique one , thick fries and a variety of drinks , staff was very helpful, they have an open seating area in the back , dont worry about sitting in winter time as the staff will turn on standalone heaters for you .

I was out for a walk one evening around Wicker Park area. And as I past the Small Cheval, I decided to try one of their cheeseburgers. Turns out, I was extremely pleased with my experience! I was just so impressed with the fast service, reasonable prices, and kind staff Small Cheval offered. It was a much different experience than what I had at Au Cheval. I would not personally recommend Au Cheval as I believe it is touristy, overpriced, and not a pleasant experience due to their long wait times, and overly crowded small environment. But what I like about this Small Cheval is the relaxed environment to eat outdoors with comfortable, spacious seating. Definitely will order again if in the area. ☺️

Hands down one of the best burgers you can have in Chicago! A joint dedicated to burgers mainly - their truffle sauce is also such a bomb and the fries are even fantastic! The people serving inside are soooo cool! Had the best interaction and overall just such a 5 star experience! Definitely going back!

Not too bad , not too good . The burger is good ,not outstanding but good . The place worth a try ,they serve liquor too . Fries where crispy and well served . Service is super friendly . Place is clean . Just a little expensive for what you get but probably on line with the city and the area . Service 10 Quality/Price 8

The sizzle as you open the door tells you that you are in for a good meal. The smell that follows is divine. The staff were exceptionally kind and the food was fresh cooked and fast. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had in Chicago. There was plenty of seating outside with massive umbrellas to protect from the sun even with the lunch rush. Run out to Wicker Park to get a Small Cheval burger!

Didn't realize the burgers were double and that you get a ton of fries, otherwise we would've split an order! Burgers really good, but nothing we'd go back out of our way for. Fries delish, not greasy. I decided to indulge and have a strawberry shake, figuring it would be a "real" one...Made with ice cream and fresh strawberries. Nope, it was just strawberry flavored. It was gross. Only seating is outdoors at picnic tables. Pricey.
