Loved it! The food (bar-b-que, macaroni and cheese, banana pudding) was great and the price was very reasonable.
I would definitely go back.
Re: worst service ever. FYI idiot, Dukes is a $10 buffet. It's not a 5-star fine dining cuisine! If you need someone to wipe your ass for you go downtown and pay for that service. My entire family eats at Dukes and have never had anything but fantastic food and friendly, southern hospitality!! If you are such a loser that you have to pick on a server, grind your axe elsewhere! By the way, Dukes' parking lot was jam packed last night when we were there, so clearly they are doing fine without you!! Good riddance!!
One of my favorite spots on the island. I love that its no frills. that means the food has to be great. and it is. you cant beat a buffet for that price. all of the sides are great and they have yummy desserts- banana pudding pie!! i dont get tired of this place. way better value than melvins and i think it tastes just as good. love the corn fritters!

Best Value BBQ in Charleston.. You can't beat the quality and value of this place. The plate is so big, my girlfriend and I can split one and still have a snack later.
All your favorite country fixin's for a great price. The BBQ is good too. I like their hot BBQ sauce.
I wish you'd get a bun or piece of toast with the plate rather than hush puppies.
Good Food Good Price. The BBQ is good and is not covered in sauce which gives you option to pick your sauce. The Fried Chicken is good ,crispy and not greasy. The sides along with Homemade banana pudding are also good. And the price is very reasonable.

Great value-hash,bbq pork. And veggies were all great-and where else has all you can eat bbq? Homemade banana pudding and peach cobble and other good stuff for desert.Being from Georgia,the mustard bbq sauce was a nice change but they also have the normal sweet sauce!
A great southern traditional BBQ place. My only complaint is it's very expensive for such a small selection and not to forget charlestons new taxing which will leave your wallet dry!
Great Barbeque. Really good food. From the BBQ and Hash to the Fried Chicken...its all done right. Simple but Very Very good!
The pulled pork and mustard sauce were good, I would also recommend the corn nuggets, green beans, hash and rice, and the collards were good but they need more flavor wise. The hash isnt spicy like most bbq places around which could be good or bad depending on your preferred palette taste. The prices were more expensive than I thought for the quality but still decent food if you are close by.
The staff was friendly and the food was hot and fresh as well. The sweet tea is really good.
I got some togo food as well as the buffet and just the togo food was $35.19 after a convenience fee of 3.5% and I only got 1 meat plate and 1lb of pulled pork. If the prices were lower I would come back but as of now I will say I like the food but not worth the hour drive to get there or cost for me. :)
A great place to go for local dining. The buffet offers options that suit a most family style dining experiences with hearty sides and deserts. Solid choice but best at high volume times
We went to Duke’s today and had an absolutely amazing experience! We are from Minnesota so had many questions about the food items on the buffet and the lady that was running the cash register was so polite and helpful! My husband and I tried many different items and it was all delicious. Also, while we were eating, a gentleman came out to talk to us about where we were from and also gave us ideas of what to do while we are in Charleston. And to top it off, they have excellent dessert choices. This has to be one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had! Thanks Duke’s BBQ!!
The food was good but be aware it is mostly a buffet. The service is beyond the best. I really liked their bbq! Will be back often!
This is a nice southern food buffet! the only buffet opens since covid in my memory. If you wanna see homegrown South Carolina bbq, that’s the place to go. The fried chicken was good but fried fish is only served on Fridays. Mac and cheese were not my favorite but fried okra was tasty. Pulled pork was deliiiisious. You pay a fee of $16 per adult for all you can eat so come here hungry 😊

The food was pretty good, kinda pricey though, but it wasn't bad, the food was nicely seasoned and the dessert was my all time favorite strawberry shortcake, delicious!!😋 (The banana pudding was good too). The cashier could be a bit more friendlier, (thus the reasoning for the 4 star instead of 5) other than that, a nice place to dine.
Duke's is a good old-fashioned country Bar-B-Q buffet. Their hash & rice is decent, good fried chicken, yummy BBQ sauce...but the standout item here is the mac-n-cheese!!! I think it's the best in Charleston. It's the kind my Grandmother used to make.
