Gennaro's Italian Ristorante

I haven't been to Gennaros in several years. We went Saturday night to celebrate friend's anniversary. The calimari was tender and crisp, salads were fresh. My husband's ribeye was tender and delicious. I had veal Marsala with spaghetti and it was yummy and the veal was like butta. Cannolis for dessert were filled and fresh. Our server was wonderful. I don't remember her name but she was tall, brunette. The only thing I would ask for would be angel hair instead of spaghetti. Overall it was a great dining experience. Thank you Mr. Gennaro.

The food was amazing. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. She gave the specials.with exquisite detail. The food was perfect. Our experience started off very strong and positive. 10 minutes after our salad our server told us our food would be out shortly. We ended up getting our food just slightly past 50 minutes from receiving our appetizer then salad and about 1hr 20 minutes from when we originally ordered. I was getting to the point where I wanted to ask what was taking so long but didn't want to be rude to the server who was very polite. Finally the food showed up and it was 10/10.. that good worth the frustrating of waiting just a bit to long. Had the food been faster I would have easily 5 stared. Had the food not been so amazing I would have 3 starred based on the extent of the wait ..The food definitely saved the review and I put this at a fair 4 out 5 (would definitely recommend)

Prices were a little expensive but the food was delicious so I'm not too mad about it. I think if they shaved 2$ off of alot of their entrées then I'd say the pricing for portions would be more acceptable. Aside from that I did leave the restaurant with a full belly. The lighting was low and comforting. The wall is filled with old family pictures, newspapers, and other legit memories collected by the owners. Definitely an authentic Italian vibe. I felt very relaxed and at home. Our server was friendly and attentive even with the restaurant being packed. It was a Friday Night. All in all I am happy about going although it will be considered a treat for my family and I due to the prices.

Came for a date night dinner after recommendations from several friends. There is a very “family owned” feel to the restaurant, not exactly great but not bad either depending on your expectations. Our server was friendly and very helpful. The appetizer was a bit underwhelming, they seemed like they were frozen and got dipped in the fryer. We got the house Cabernet and while it was decent, it wasn’t great. The shining star was the entrees, they were delicious and we were very happy with both of our choices. Overall it was a good experience, with great food, as long as you’re not expecting a high end dining experience.
