Love this restaurant, we have always had great food and service. Wonderful atmosphere, very cozy! The amount of food is overwhelming, we always have to ask for a to go container. Thursday night jazz is much more pleasant from one of the sid rooms. To sit in the band room....While they play and have conversation is out of the question...it's very loud, but very good. I give them an excellent rating.
Team Gennaros. Best Italian cuisine in town! I've have the pleasure of dining with the Gennaro family for years and their consistency has left my family & myself very satisfied and FAR from hungry every time! The staff is SO friendly and welcoming! Almost like you're dining in your very own kitchen, without the mess! I especially love the seafood, so fresh! But they have exceptional authentic Italian dishes as well! You will certainly leave anticipating your next visit to Gennaros!

Always a great dinner!!. My wife and family have enjoyed this family owned restaurant since 1990's. Start off with the Bam Bam shrimp and then dive into the Special Tuna piccata or the menu item Chicken Bolognese. If you have room for dessert enjoy the turamisu. My wife and I normally split the items ordered since they are so tasty. Make reservations!
Oh this is a refreshing Italian spot to enjoy a more authentic Italian meal! Coming from up North to the south where Olive Garden is as Italian as you get...Gennaros was like finding a diamond in the rough! Really like food, flavor, and service! Ummy
Very Good Italian Food. My boyfriend and I went to Gennaro's for the first time this evening and we both really liked it. They have a wonderfully nice staff (both the hostesses and the waitstaff) and the food was really good. The ambiance was nice and romantic and felt cozy, but it was quite dark. I could hear a table behind us requesting a flashlight because they couldn't read the menu. But it was still very nice, and we'll definitely be returning.
Had an awesome experience from start to finish. The hostess sat us in a private booth after letting her know it was our anniversary date. The waiter was extremely professional and knowledgable about the menu. The food was great, and it was not over priced for the quality. I will definitely be frequenting Gennaro's!!!!
A delightful family-owned place. This is no chain. This is a family-owned red-sauce predominant Italian place, from the people who greet you to the brothers who do the cooking. It's always packed on Friday and Saturday evenings so they must be doing something right. Order the white wine version of the mussels. The broth is so good I can't decide whether to eat it or rub it all over my face!
If someone did not like their food, they must be used to the chain or fast-food "Italian" food. If you want an authentic meal, this is your place. Reasonably priced, friendly, and delicious! I highly recommend the bolognese, steak, and pizza.

The last time we were there, my friend had blackend Salmon. I"m not a Salmon lover but hers was delicious.
I have never been disappointed in either the food, service or family atmosphere.
Came for a date night dinner after recommendations from several friends. There is a very “family owned” feel to the restaurant, not exactly great but not bad either depending on your expectations. Our server was friendly and very helpful. The appetizer was a bit underwhelming, they seemed like they were frozen and got dipped in the fryer. We got the house Cabernet and while it was decent, it wasn’t great. The shining star was the entrees, they were delicious and we were very happy with both of our choices. Overall it was a good experience, with great food, as long as you’re not expecting a high end dining experience.
Prices were a little expensive but the food was delicious so I'm not too mad about it. I think if they shaved 2$ off of alot of their entrées then I'd say the pricing for portions would be more acceptable. Aside from that I did leave the restaurant with a full belly. The lighting was low and comforting. The wall is filled with old family pictures, newspapers, and other legit memories collected by the owners. Definitely an authentic Italian vibe. I felt very relaxed and at home. Our server was friendly and attentive even with the restaurant being packed. It was a Friday Night. All in all I am happy about going although it will be considered a treat for my family and I due to the prices.
Johnny was our server tonight. He was kind and courteous, always refilling our waters and making sure we didn’t need anything else. Fantastic server doing his best! All our food came out at the same time (and it tasted great). Atmosphere was nice and the place is well decorated. Would go back.
The authentic Italian food is absolutely fabulous every visit. The service is exemplary and the owner visits every table at least once. His attention to detail is why I would say you will not dine here once. You will be like us and visit very often.
The food was amazing. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. She gave the specials.with exquisite detail. The food was perfect. Our experience started off very strong and positive. 10 minutes after our salad our server told us our food would be out shortly. We ended up getting our food just slightly past 50 minutes from receiving our appetizer then salad and about 1hr 20 minutes from when we originally ordered. I was getting to the point where I wanted to ask what was taking so long but didn't want to be rude to the server who was very polite. Finally the food showed up and it was 10/10.. that good worth the frustrating of waiting just a bit to long. Had the food been faster I would have easily 5 stared. Had the food not been so amazing I would have 3 starred based on the extent of the wait ..The food definitely saved the review and I put this at a fair 4 out 5 (would definitely recommend)
One of my all-time favorite restaurants it's where my kids take me to celebrate my birthday mother's Day and we do a lot of their birthdays there now too it's the best!
We had a lovely evening & dinner while visiting Gennaro’s! My group and I were visiting from out of the country and craving Italian food and we were not disappointed.
Service was accommodating and polite, portion sizes were generous and overall tasty. Appetizers were delicious, entrees were satisfying. Ambiance could use some work, but food was great.
What a wonderful Italian restaurant!!! All the staff was really pleasant and the food was amazing. Such a warm family atmosphere. I did read some reviews and made a recommendation as it does get busy! Mckalya, the bartender, was wonderful accommodating a special beverage and Tim was on point with his service. We will be going back!!!
Great Italian restaurant......Had the homemade minestrone soup with sausage stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. Warm fresh bread with olive oil dip while you wait.
My main was Salmon and Shrimp seafood penne in a creamed rosè sauce. Excellent meal. Definitely recommend this restaurant.....and either the bar setting or the sit down area.
We have been here numerous times. The food is always great and the prices are reasonable. We highly recommend that you give this place a try if you have never been here.
Tonight was really exceptional and our server Jamie was fantastic.
