Poogan's Smokehouse

The food was amazingly good. We were visiting from Florida. The waitress came over and told us another table paid for me and my sons food🥰 The people in Charleston, South Carolina, were super friendly. Charleston has that southern charm. I recommend anyone to visit here and definitely go to Poogans Smokehouse for great eats

Great casual atmosphere with a variety of seating options. The food was delicious and plentiful. The Four Porksman sandwich is not for the faint of heart! One bite of this decadent sandwich will have you planning your next trip to Charleston! The fries were tasty and not greasy. Their cornbread is so fluffy and delicious, It's almost like cake! The Mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful. The bacon garnish set it off just right. AND, if great food wasn't enough, we also had a great Server. Taylor is the sweetheart that took excellent care of us. Don't forget to leave a great tip for great service if you are lucky enough to have that little lady serving your table!

I'll visiting Charleston today. We thought we'd get some good barbecue and we found this place right down on Bay Street and it really didn't disappoint. The food was good. Tasty fresh. The sauces are very good. The mac and cheese that was a smoky was okay but I wouldn't have paid $10 for it as it is on the appetizer. We enjoyed a pulled pork sandwiches and two of us. Enjoy the four pork men sandwich. You'll see the picture. It's amazing. It's a massive sandwich it has sausage that has been grilled cut in half on the bottom. It has pulled pork on top of that. Then on top of that is two big pieces thick cut apple wood bacon that has been smoked. Has been a cheese sauce added on top of that barbecue sauce on a real nice bun then stuck on top of that bun is a pork spare rib. Amazing!. Just look at the picture .

Ordered the chopped brisket sandy w Mac n cheese. Big pile of meat that was very moist. Three types of sauce, sweet, spicy and mustard. I’m a sweet sauce fan myself. The mac n cheese was fantastic. Thick and cheesy. Not runny. Platter cost $18. I’ve been on a bbq kick the last month and this is the best of what I’ve had. Bravo Poogan’s, bravo!
