The breakfast buffet is back! Only on Saturday and Sunday. I highly suggest reservations. They start serving at 9:00am. You can go before and order off the menu. So many wonderful choices to choose from. The service is impeccably on point. They cater to everything in your needs. Asking for bread and sauces. Best coffee ☕ and peach tea. There's little of everything for dietary needs. I love how they transform the room and add fresh flowers. Must have for a special occasion.

Daily special, black grouper in lemon, with mushrooms and potatoes, salad with grilled salmon, cherry and pistachio dessert. Tea with peach slice. Food and service superb, cost reasonable for quality. Highly recommended, get reservation.

This is a beautiful location! Delicious brunch! I can honestly say I loved the brunch menu and set up prior to the remodel but it still has really delicious brunch. It is a staple event (to go to brunch here) when we travel so I will probably go back and see if they tweaked the menu any. On my last visit I did go for brunch buffet ( leaning more towards breakfast items) and the only breakfast item they had was omelettes. I was looking more so for scrambled eggs, pancakes or waffles ( which they had pre cooked cold waffle quarters beautifully arranged) like it used to have. That wasn't the case this time. I would still go back because the aesthetic, service and food are awesome.

Best breakfast around, we got the Blue Plate and the Eggs Norwegian with a Belgian Waffle. All were great and as a bonus the waiter was awesome and super friendly.

Sunday brunch buffet. We’ve been a regular for Sunday brunch for years, going once or twice a month. The renovations are terrific and the brunch menu has truly kicked up even better than before. Item selections are extensive enough and the dishes are prepared world class, exceeding expectations for a brunch buffet style. Prices went up to $65 per person ( not unexpected) but I was surprised to be charged $6 each for two cups of coffee - pretty sure coffee should be part of the buffet.

I treated myself to breakfast downtown Charleston at The Palmetto Cafe which is located inside of The Charleston Place hotel and I was not disappointed! It is so nice and elegant; very clean and comfortable. The staff really goes above and beyond as well! The host was so kind to sit me at a table near the live music (on the weekends starting at 11am) and my server was very friendly. I ordered a cappuccino and an Acai Bowl (strawberries, bananas, granola, acai) and it was amazinggg! I highly recommend stopping here!

The Palmetto Cafe is a wonderful eatery nestled in the largest hotel in the city! It was wonderful wide open windows and the whole of the restaurant seemed bright and elegant. The menu was pricy but the food was delicious. I was very much filled up from that burger, it was as juicy as can be. The crab cake was amazing, about smaller than a hockey puck in size. A wonderful outing if you’re looking for a fine dining breakfast, lunch, or brunch!

Wonderful. An elegant place for good low country cuisine. John was our server and his attention to us added to the meal. The shecrab soup is real and really good. The shrimp and grits were a savory dish that was served with no tailed shrimp, as it should be. They serve a peach tea using Harney & Sons and this wonderfully refreshing.

This is the fanciest (yet not the most expensive, which is a good thing) breakfast we had in Charleston. I had the lobster and crab omelette and my wife had an oat meal. I never had lobster in an omelette before so it's interesting. There are indeed huge chunks of lobster and crab meat inside, which is awesome. The omelette is well prepared and tasted good. I also liked the grits on the side. The speed of service is quite slow though, as they also have to prepare for room service orders for the hotel, so budget your time accordingly. Overall I had a good experience here and would recommend to others.

Came here all the way from Boston for their brunch buffet (well, there were other reasons to travel but Palmetto Cafe was on my list for the first meal of the trip) and it didn’t disappoint. A diverse selection of high-quality food, friendly and genuinely upscale service, it was the famed “southern hospitality” at its best. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than your regular breakfast spot, but it’s worth every penny. The holiday-themed decorations including a HUGE toy train/winter wonderland installation in the main lobby just add to the cheerful vibe. Lots of people-watching too. Not an everyday thing for sure, but something to savor and remember.
