Big Daddy's Texas Bbq

Says temporary closed but their food truck is out three days a week and that is where I tried them. Got the Bork sandwich (chopped brisket and pork. Enough meat for two sandwiches. Got a side of smoked Mac and cheese and got an extra rib bone. Fast super friendly service. Food was delicious. Was told that is I follow on social media, they occasionally do a food special announcement where you find the code word that gets an item on sale. Will do!

My new favorite restaurant! It has a very cozy vibe and it is further enhanced by the Halloween decorations. If you go there for lunch you are presented with a stunning view of the city. The rooftop area is splendid! The food is even better. They serve an amazing smoked root beer which is by far the best drink I've ever had. The sliders are so savory and packed full of flavor. To top it all off everyone there is extremely friendly. I wish I could give it a 6 out of 5 stars!

Great food. Awesome cocktails! (Get yours smoked with a house-fresh juice.) And a cool proprietor who appreciates the community and history of the place. Super pumped the rooftop will be accessible again. I made some good memories at the old K's, and this guy seems like he will be able to avoid some of the issues with the city that plagued K's. I've never written a review, but I feel compelled. I was excited when I saw the high reviews to try a new barbecue spot. Very disappointed in so many ways. First impression when I arrived was a college town bar slash bar food type restaurant. Not the nicest nor the cleanest establishment but I thought I'd give it a whirl. Ordered the ribs, waiter said it was a good portion of 4 ribs. It arrived it was 2 nice eyes ribs and the third piece was the end triangle cut, flat dry and like a piece of leather. I'm not a complainer but I wanted to let my waiter know that the two ribs were okay at best and the third piece was like a piece of leather. he proceeded to ask me if I wanted to desert which I responded Yes thinking maybe because my ribs were marginal at best that the desert Maybe gratis to make things right. He then came back and told me sorry we're out of all deserts but I talked to the owner and he said I can take 10% off your bill. Wow a 1.79 comes off my bill. Very disappointed to say the least and definitely will not be going back...

Went on a Monday evening. For the previous ratings provided, maybe I was in the Twilight Zone. We were the only ones in the joint from what I could tell. Waitress was pleasant which might have been the only positive. Microbrew we requested had the tap break so we only received one glass but ordered a couple of other types. Companion ordered ribs and five minutes later were informed all out of ribs. We will still the only ones in the seating area so not sure who was eating all of the ribs. My shrimp and grits were good but the only reason I ordered shrimp in a BBQ place is the menu has very limited offerings. If you want pulled pork or smoked chicken or beef brisket, you have to order a sandwich. On the dinner menu, the only meat BBQ dish I saw was ribs (which they were out of). The food we ate was good but disappointed we didn't get some break for our troubles. Bunches of other places to eat. Better hit a homer these days with a first impression which this place did not.
