The New American Café in the atrium of the Museum of Fine Arts has a new menu as of Wednesday. And what a menu it is.
We had the Japanese Eggplant (lightly prepared with a nicely spiced black bean purée) and Farmer’s Vegetable Tart (a light vegetable-filled quiche). For dessert, we had Maple Crème Caramel and Pumpkin Cheesecake. Both were good with nice fall flavors.
I can’t comment on the other items on the menu. However, all of the food I saw on other tables looked fresh and well made. The pizza looked especially appetizing as did the chips. The chips are made in house.
Don’t be discouraged by a line to enter. It moves quickly.
We had a fantastic meal here on Friday night. Presentation was worthy of being in a museum and the flavors were spectacular. Skin-on salmon crisped to perfection while leaving the meat tender, creative greens and sauces; the mussels are a must, with a bright rich curry sauce. Sitting in the center of the museums with soaring ceilings and the Chihuly tower reaching high above us was beautiful!
Located in the courtyard of Museum of Fine Art in Boston. Food is very tasty. Service very good. Prices as expected in a restaurant in museum.
I think that the service is nice here, and so is the food (some dishes, the wrap is not good). However, from my experience, I think that the coffee could be better, because I ordered an americano and received just a regular black coffee.
4/5
It was a treat to eat in the MFA. Delicious Sweet Potatoe Carrot Soup.. along with Slinach Sakad with roasted rhubarb, blueberries, walnuts, and goat cheese. Quite tasty! The service was quick and friendly.
Great place to grab a bite in this atrium restaurant while visiting the museum. The menu choices are very good, and the food is prepared to order with fresh ingredients. The service is also very good, and I enjoyed dining in the center of the hall people watching.
The food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! 50,000 stars to them. We had the salmon well done and the steak medium rare. I am extremely picky man o man it was amazing. The dessert I had was cheesecake and some kind of mint berry compote omg!!!!!!!The service was fantastic 👏 bravo!!!!! Rahshon was amazing his service was 1000% my type of atmosphere!!!! I hope management sees this!!!!!!
The food was light. Regarding the yakitori, I enjoyed how soft the meat was, and the green sauce was a good touch. The daikon radish was too bitter for the dish, but otherwise everything else was great. The mousse is a great alternative to a heavy cheesecake, so I'm glad I made the choice.
Fantastic service by Rahshon and really good food! We all had a great experience here, would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to the museum :)
My lunch was outstanding! I talked about it several times that day and again later in the week. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that there were not many options on the menu that could be made vegan which is important for my group.
