Great Indian food at reasonable price and a great location.
What a pleasure! While there are all sorts of food diversions in Fanueil Hall, many lack quality. While the lightly spiced dishes were good, such as the Spinach and Paneer cheese, the spicy dishes, chicken Vindaloo and the garbanzo bean (chicken pea) were of very high quality for a walk-up stand. Ask for Naan bread.
If you are Indian or vegetarian, they also do these traditional dishes.
...Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Curry from Gourmet India — surprisingly tasty for a quickie place.
So many choices in the Q.... this place is great if you want something that little bit different. Samosa Chat weekend special for $8 is a no-brainer and excellent chicken curry with fresh baked naan breads too.
Best Indian food in Quincy Market by Punjabi bhaiyas
Best Indian food I have ever had. I got the chicken curry and a samosa and the combination was astounding. I went there again but to my dismay it had been closed. Hopefully it will open up again so i can go get some of the delicious Indian food again. As it is in a market you cannot dine in. But in the market, if it is open, there will be seating. If not, there is the harbor right near the market where you can go have yourself a picnic.
Great food for a food court. Lots of yummy options. Stop by and watch them cook naan in the tandoori oven.
The food was really good. Curry chicken with veggies and rice. They could have given a bit more chicken though. And the price was a little high for a combo meal is a separate drink. Would definitely go back though.
I rarely go to the food hall at Quincy Market but when I do I just LOVE Gourmet India! Food tastes fresh and warm and full of flavour. The Saag Paneer is delicious and the ChickenTikka Masala is pungent and moist And the Naan is always warm and soft inside with a slightly crispy exterior. Yummy!!
Naan is absolutely delicious and freshly made in a fire oven. The curry is quite nice, vegetarian curry is not particularly tasty but my friend was very happy with her chicken tikka masala.
At the Quincy Market segment;
Delicious food, decent price, fast service, helpful recommendations for the inexperienced palate.
In an efficiency sense, it was difficult to tell how to order. Register line was for AFTER the customer orders their food in the food line. That is, unless you want just a drink or prepared snack, then you order AND pay in the register line.
The best Indian food I have had in America. The dal makhani, salmon tikka and samosa chat were out of the world. Definitely going back again. Very authentic. Worth every penny. Quick service
Good number of food options for both vegetarian and non vegetarians. Medium spicy so anyone can eat it. Taste is good and they are giving good quantity as well.
