Sammy's Italian Pizza Kitchen

Okay, I have the Big "D". And the Diabetes diagnosis hit me 6 months ago and I'm still getting use to it. It's not just about eliminating sugar, but it's the insulin, the carb check, the inspection of labels and menu to clear a meal. Usually if I didin't cook ahead, I'll pick up a Sammy's Veggie Pizza which keeps my glucose in check. But how many Veggie Pizzas do you order when you want to branch out? Today, I mentioned my dilemma to a woman working the orders. She understood immediately what I was lamenting and hooked me up with a side order turned into an entree. In keeping with the veggie theme, the staff grilled me red pepper, broccoli, mushrooms, spinach and chicken. It was YUMMY. See, there is Life after Death. Two hours later, no screams from the Dexcom. I don't know the name of the masked woman who initially pulled this all together, but thanks for a delightful Sunday dinner minus the guilt. P.S, The mangos was my addition :-)

This place is AMAZING! far enough away from the stupidity of the waterfront but close enough where you can park and walk here or just park out front. Yes it smells utterly amazing in here and a decent selection of bottled beer and a nice selection of vino. Oh the pizza? “forget about it” it’s so damn good

Stopped in for lunch on Sunday afternoon. The place wasn't busy and almost too quiet, a little background music might be nice. They have a TV that would have been nice to have on.The service was very friendly I had a pizza which I enjoyed. The menu here is good sized and offer more than pizza. They do have pizza by the slice as well. Give a thumbs up 👍if my review and or photos are helpful.
