Jalapeno's

Superb Spanish-Mexican cuisine set in a relaxed yet classy atmosphere. There was live music when we visited for my son's birthday and he played ' happy birthday' for us. The food was fantastic. The olive appetizer was a hit, as was the queso and fresh guacamole. No complaints, everything was delicious.

Delicious happy hour at Jalapeños! Everything was so amazing, we enjoyed everything so much can’t wait for our next visit. We enjoyed: 🔹House Margaritas and chips & salsa 🔹Mejillones en Salsa - Mussels in red sauce 🔹 Stuffed jalapeno peppers with chicken and cheese 🔹 Alcachofas Salteadas- Artichoke hearts sauteed in olive oil 🔹 Solomillo de Cerdo al Jerez- Pork tenderloin in a sweet cream sauce The bar was packed when we arrived, around 5:40 pm. Half of our time was a loud and vibrant atmosphere and the other half was quiet and lovely. The staff was pleasant, helpful and gave us the delicious recommendation of the red sauce for the mussels. So good! Thanks again Jalapeños for taking such good care of us.

ABSOLUTE GEM. Do not let the proximity of this restaurant to the Dollar Tree give you the wrong impression (no disrespect to Dollar Tree). This is one of the best restaurants in the region. The exact same dishes would go for 3x the cost in DC or Philly. They've somehow found a way to bring a $$$$ dining experience for $$. I'm still kind of in shock. The ambiance is pleasant, the drinks are good, but the FOOD! Best tacos I've had in a year. Best tapas I've had...maybe ever. Tremendous selection and everything was amazing. Can't recommend highly enough. This is what the tapas experience is supposed to be, but it's definitely not what it's supposed to cost (in the good sense). Build this chef a monument.

Jalapeños had beautiful decor and a great atmosphere. The owner was very polite and most helpful in choosing a tequila. My waitress was quite attentive. I ordered El Cubano (a Cuban sandwich). Normally, I'd order a Mexican dish, but I haven't had a good Cuban sandwich since I was in Miami. This one was heavenly and at least as good as the Miami version. I would come back just for the sandwich. Hopefully, next time I'll be able to try some Mexican food. I also sampled the Gran Centenario Leyenda Añejo tequila, but I would not recommend that. It was heavily scented with whiskey flavor. They may age their tequila in used whiskey barrels.

***FIVE STARS*** I've been looking for a place like this! Don't be fooled by it's location and exterior. When you walk inside, you are taken to another place! The Tapas were delicious and refreshing. The flavors they put together harmoniously work. If you're looking for a place with some spanish tapas and mexican cuisine... come here! You won't regret it!

Jalapeños is a marvelous experience. While they offer many of the same standard fare Mexican restaurant offerings (fajitas, quesadillas, etc.), the sauces are unique and delicious. Additionally, they have several small plate offerings. Pictured here is a salmon small plate. Plenty of gluten free and vegetarian offerings. Full bar, tasty margaritas, good service.

We are new to town and Jalapeños came highly recommended. Do yourself a favor and don’t judge a book by its cover! This spot should not be overlooked. Our server Lauren could not have been nicer or more helpful (a 17 year vet of the restaurant which says a lot). We had drinks, guacamole, tapas and some tacos. Everything was awesome! We will be back in Lauren’s section soon (hopefully near the fireplace!) Great food and amazing service. Thank you to the whole restaurant.
