Rams Head Tavern - Annapolis

I don't give everyone five stars... but tonight you guys deserve it. Came w/ a party of 5 to see Dave Tieff/Laughing Colors acoustic show at Rams Head Onstage/next door and had dinner here before the show. I ordered a plain Reuben on a burger bun w/ cheddar cheese and fries and they knocked it out of the park. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich and you couldn't get him to talk because he didn't want to stop eating it. His son had the fish and chips and said they were as good as another place we frequent that has amazing fish and chips, so that about sums up his dinner. My wife had the Shepard's pie, which I tried and really liked, but was lacking a little on taste/flavor? So 8/10 for the Shepard's pie... I will ask for extra gravy if I come back and order it for myself. Our other friend ordered the taco chicken salad and that was also a walk-off home run. Our server was prompt, checked on us periodically and the kitchen brought our food out in a surprisingly short amount of time, too, for a packed Saturday night. Bonus for the Tavern - we ran into some friends on the way into the venue part of the building and asked them how their dinner was and all four said "fantastic". Can't beat that advertising. One suggestion - If you're going to see a show and want to eat at the tavern, use the app to make a reservation a few DAYS in advance or you'll have to try your luck at Stan and Joe's or find somewhere else to eat: They had to turn people away at the door who didn't have reservations. This place was so cute! We came during happy hour with no reservation. We were seated immediately outside where they had live music set up. We enjoyed some of the most flavorful food I’ve had at a restaurant in a long while! And because happy hour, our bill was very affordable for the two of us!

Server and hosts were amazing .. the manager was an absolute jerk. Acted as if we were a burden by coming in and ordering food and drinks. Yikes!

We went there for Monday lobster dinner and fish & chips ... And it was a success! In addition, we were sitting in nice court covered with beautiful blooming Wisteria vines...it was such a nice touch! Staff was very polite and responsive!
