Amazing food and service. Will definitely go again. Very happy to see they have loofah for sale too.
An unassuming but fantastic place. It has a small but very good menu ( I recommend trying the Grandma's tabbouleh) and an absolute gentleman serving behind the counter.
It took a few minutes to find this place amongst adjacent industrial park businesses, but it was well worth the drive. Don't look for stand-out signage or menu boards. It's actually a little restaurant inside what looks to be a wholesaler business. The place was clean and fairly spartan with just a few tables, the owner was super friendly and the food - the FOOD! Wow. Some of the freshest, flavorful Mediterranean dishes we've ever had and at prices that are perfect for a fulfilling lunch. We took things home and enjoyed them the next day. We'll be returning for sure even if just for the homemade pita chips.
Tucked inside an industrial park, Roro's is an unassuming gem.
I believe this place makes most of its money off its food truck and the restaurant serves as a home base for their operations.
I say that because the shop itself is relatively bare. There's a shelving unit containing all sorts of interesting Lebanese groceries, 7-8 tables tucked along two of the walls and a counter. That's it. This gives the restaurant an open, modern feel which is pretty unique in this space.
We were the only folks in the restaurant when we went, so we immediately walked up to the counter and placed our orders.
In terms of menu options, there isn't much. Some shawarma options, a platter with all the shawarma, some sides to go with your shawarma and drinks.
I ordered, surprise, surprise shawarma....of the steak variety. The price wasn't unreasonable, per say, but I did feel like I was getting nickel-and-dimed a little bit because every add-on costed extra. I think I paid about $10 for my meal.
That said...friends....the food was phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. This was my first time having Lebanese food so I'll admit that I don't have a lot to compare it to, but I'm convinced that good food is good food and Roro's knows how to make some good food.
My meal was made fresh and stuffed inside two soft, delicious tortilla. It was incredible. The only complaint I had was that there wasn't more of it. I'd also recommend avoiding the pickled red things....whatever they are.
All in all, I'll definitely be back here. Roro's is a quick, convenient and easy way to get a wonderful meal.
The food is authentic Mediterranean (as far as I can tell), and the service is friendly and top notch
Incredible food! Fresh, authentic, and healthy if you want, or indulgent if you want! I have to say I take issue with a reviewer who said the shawarma "lacked flavor"?! That is insane. The chicken is so flavorful and heavily marinated. I usually get a salad with chicken because the shawarma feels too naughty but if I was one of those people who can eat whatever they want I'd probably get them a lot more. I do love the fattoush and the tabbouleh because they're so fresh! I'm hungry
This food truck is awesome! Everything is so good- we had the rice platter, loaded fried and the tacos. Everything is so fresh- great Mediterranean food with a modern twist. Definitely try this food truck. I’m psyched for them to open their restaurant this fall!
I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap with pita chips and hummus, so good! Chicken was nice and tender and everything fresh! The lady who took my order was super friendly as well. Check them out if in Alexandria or find them where their good truck is posted!
