The Glacier Shaved Ice

This place is the shaved ice stand of my childhood dreams. The flavors are incredible, many of them are made from real fruit, not just flavored syrups. They also are never skimpy with their pours, I never feel like my ice is never “dry” it’s always got tons of syrup. To top it all off, the customer service is always top notch. Please do yourself the flavor and drop by! ***I was told by one of the employees that the red raspberry flavor was under appreciated, and she’s totally right. It’s delicious!

Capitol Snow has some of the best shave ice I've ever had! So light and fluffy and yummy! My daughter begs to go every day even when it's freezing outside and they're closed for the season. I do wish they had a better location with more parking and an area that was a little farther from very busy Franconia Rd but maybe with more customers they'll be able to upgrade one day. My current favorite flavor is cherry lemonade with Strawtermelon a close second.

The only thing I miss from southern Virginia is all the Snowball spots; so, can you imagine my delight when one popped up within walking distance of my boyfriend’s house? The place has a plethora of flavors, free toppings, the option to add ice cream, and Chik-fil-A grade service from staff members. They even have cornhole and a couple of seats nearby while you enjoy your treats. What more could you possibly want?! And don’t get me started on that cutie-pie owner. Not only is he easy on the eyes, but he’s also really friendly, super kind, and very charismatic. You’ll want to spend your money just because of him! His product is great, but HE is phenomenal. He deserves more recognition than he is receiving. I see that his business is getting more successful by the year and he deserves it; that is a superb guy! I’ll have to add pictures of my order next time I go, but I always forget to take a picture before I eat it. :( Last thing I want to recognize: the owner always remembers my order: cotton candy with ice cream! Try your snowballs with ice cream when you visit!

My first experience was when I received a free sample during a hot day during the gas shortage. The mango tasted so good. I introduced my family to this ice cart. Soooo good. The ice is very finely shaved. Snow is the perfect word. All of the workers are very kind and nice. I love supporting a local company with great product.
