Wow. You must try Chile Verde Mexican Restaurant the next time you are in the area. This restaurant was chosen via a quick Google Maps search when passing through. The food was AMAZING. You must try the pineapple 🍍 dish with steak, chicken and shrimp. The question dip was too thin, but had a great flavor. The food was delivered hot and quick once our order was taken. Enjoy!

We happened in to Chile Verde after our day at MerleFest. The service was superb. Our meals were superb. I had the Jose Pina, served in a half pineapple. It was unique and delicious and reasonably priced. I think it was pretty healthy too. We live 50 miles away, but plan to return whenever we can.
This is my new favorite restaurant in Wilkesboro. Both the food and service were great! I walked in right after they opened and was greeted and offered a drink within a minute. My server was friendly and attentive (without being pushy). The atmosphere was nice and the prices are reasonable for the large portions you get.
I will definitely stop in again!

We can tell the cheese dip is being watered down too much though. But Plaza and the others are doing the same. Like cheese dip so probably won't be back.
It's now at the top of our list for local Mexican. I made a meal out of the loaded nachos. My wife got the chimichangas and really liked it. Service was great, especially considering we waited till almost closing time to stop in.
Since moving to NC from CA, I have been missing a really good carnitas, beans and rice, chili relleno and a few other favorites. This restaurant reminds me of the flavors I could get just over the border and have missed so much. The service is great, fast, fresh and accurate. I eat here at least once a week and am thrilled to have found such a delicious gem.
Decided to mix it up and try a different Mexican restaurant in town. They didnt disappoint. The staff was wonderful and orders made perfectly. Will definately be a new go-to destination for dinner.
Try their desserts!! Tres leche, it's just cake but way better. Flan, it's like a caramel pudding, but amazing! This is one of the few Mexican restaurants around NC that actually serves real Mexican desserts. Today I had guacamole, model especial, mole poblano, flan and a shot of house tequila for under $40! Their food is soooooo good. Go try it :)

I have tried every Mexican restaurant in town. I lived here for 2 years and finally tried this place. I am from TX, and the food had great flavors. Will definitely eat here again.
