Amazing service and delicious food! The fresh garlic on the garlic knots and garlic bread had me knowing immediately the food would be great! Fresh made marinara is something you don’t find often anymore and it was nice to see a place doing this! The cannoli did not disappoint! Will be returning for dine in as the service was as amazing as the food!

This place was amazing the pizza was amazing. We got a Hawaiian BBQ chicken pizza, garlic knots and southwest egg rolls they were amazing as well. I would recommend this place to any who likes pasta or pizza. I will come back next time and try the pizza.

Went there this evening for dinner before our concert and I have to say the food was AMAZING and Nona was super sweet, even came out to talk to us and make sure our food was great. Best tiramisu ever, garlic knots, hearty portions, cheese fries just everything was on point. Definitely will return the next time on vacation! Don't forget to try the ranch!

On our travels through the Norfolk area, we came across this hidden gem. As you can read from some of the recent reviews, Nona is having some staffing challenges. It was obvious, but the way the owner and her staff handled the mistakes was recommendable. The wait on the food was well worth it. To my surprise the Black Eyed Peas, Kale and Quinoa soup was delicious. The Alfredo sauce was very well seasoned and the scallops and shrimps tasted fresh. The baked Eggplant Rollatini was cut a bit too thick for our taste. The size of the portions are very generous. The Garlic Knots with a hint of Olive Oil are out of this world. We were in the restaurant during the peak dinner hours. The phone, as well as take out orders contributed greatly to the delay of orders. On the other hand, they are making all dishes from scratch. Like the saying: Good things take time! After our dinner, we got a few minutes to talk to Nona. Her love, knowledge and passion for the preparation of all her dishes was very noticeable in her voice. We sincerely hope that she will be able to hire the right staff (chef and/or cook), who will share her passion and love of the Italian Cuisine and joy of cooking and serving the patrons.

By far the best Italian I've ever eaten. Everything is made fresh to order. Started with a complimentary order of garlic knots that were lightly crisp and soft on the inside, not doughy or chewy. Then we had the Bruschetta using toasted Ciabatta bread wonderfully seasoned and not hard like those bagel chip things. We had three different dishes and we tasted each others dish. Mostacciolo, Penne a la vodka and Stuffed shells Florentine. They were absolutely delicious. We've been stepping out of our comfort zone and trying new places to eat off the beaten path. I'm so glad I found this place. The staff are wonderfully pleasant and answered all of our questions. We will definitely be going back and will recommend Nona's Italian kitchen to everyone I talk to. Love it😘.

We've been going to this place occasionally for a few years now, and it's always been a good experience. The people there are friendly (especially Coke), the place is clean, and, most importantly, the food is tasty and fresh. It seems like nearly everything is made to order, so your food won't come out immediately, but it will be worth the wait. They take the "fresh" in their name seriously.

Nona's is AMAZING. Seriously, where do I even start? Right away my daughter and I were greeted by such a friendly staff that it felt as if I walked into my family's home. No joke- I felt so at ease and loved the ambience of the whole restaurant. Our waitress, Kayla, was very sweet and eager to tend to whatever we needed without feeling too pushy. Next we met Erica who is incredibly charming and ensured that our experience was nothing short of excellent. Now, the food. Oh my goodness, THE FOOD! My jeans were screaming at me to stomach eating but I couldn't help myself. Everything from their kitchen is culinary gold. Their pizza and garlic knots are out of this world. There's no doubt the dough is made from scratch and made with love. My husband joined us later in the meal and a ordered their buffalo chicken wrap and as soon as it was placed in front of him it was gone. He devoured those two wraps like a whale eating minnows. His only regret was the he didn't have a bigger stomach to help me finish my chicken Florentine pizza (that's their small!). We are so excited to call Nona's our new favorite Italian restaurant and we hope you fall in love with this place just as we have!

This place is a must visit all because of Nonna and her cooking! We stumbled upon the place while driving through Virginia Beach and so happy we did. The food is excellent and all freshly prepared. Nonna threw in delicious garlic knots for our family. The space inside is also really nice. It was great learning about Nonna’s story and how she came to owning a restaurant. However, due to the pandemic she is struggling to stay open. It would be a real shame if this place closes so please go out and support her if you can.

It is a small local business & the owner was having some difficulties with staffing while we were there so there was a wait. But the owner is quite lovely & is cooking all of the food for customers. The food is worth the wait. Everything is just so delicious.

I have been eating at this restaurant and ordering them at least once a week for over 10 years, when was fresh crust before it became Nona's and I probably won't stop. Friendliest staff ever, they remember alot of their customers, excellent family atmosphere, Always Number 1 service. It is the best food for Italian dining and home cooking in this area! I wouldn't trade it for anything else😍 Best garlic knots😍🥰, best antipasto salad, best spaghetti platters, raviolis, sandwiches, and the ultimate Uber tasty burger! If you haven't tried them, you are missing out!

If you are looking for delicious home-made Italian food and amazing customer service, this is the spot!! The pizza and pasta were heavenly and we can’t wait to come back again to try other dishes. The garlic knots were crispy and had the perfect amount of garlic sauce along with the marinara sauce(it’s free😃). The stuffed shells Florentine had ricotta cheese and spinach that melt in your mouth. The hostess/ waitress was very helpful with recommending dishes to try.
