Love the happy hour & Curry. At $1 PBR and skewers I love the happy hour here. My good friends Liz & Cory who travelled with me in Thailand and I went here when we got home and we all thought their curries are solid (2 votes green, I yellow). They spice their curry at "medium" for everyone which seemed to work for all of us (even though I prefer my food spicy and my friends not so much).
I love Pad See Eew and have had it several times here. Most of the times it is good - I have had it a couple of times when it hasn't been good. It normally comes with carrots and broccoli - but the broccoli can be sparse and the carrots never seem to be lacking but have been overly abundant. When I have ordered it for delivery on busy nights (Friday night @ 8) it has a less than desired track record (Noodles are stuck together and don't have sauce or flavor and weird ratio issues with the carrots/broccoli). When it is good it in the top tier for Seattle - when it is bad it is in the bottom tier.
Great "golden sizzle chicken". I have no idea where there are so many bad reviews of this place. It was pretty much perfect when me and my gal tried it the first time for a late dinner. She's adjunct at SPU so we went after her evening class. (Our usual Thai is Kwanjai in Fremont, and Thai Tom when we're on the Ave.) There were a few folks at the bar (they appeared to be regulars, chatty with the server) and 1-2 other table groups. Seated promptly, friendly. It's an interesting menu - my gal is Chinese and she asked about the Northern Thai curry, which we've never seen on a menu labeled as such, in something called golden sizzle chicken. It may have been the single best Thai dish I've had in years - when she couldn't finish I licked her plate clean. Very tasty curry (kind of like a red-yellow combo), the chicken was maybe charbroiled? Fantastic. Yes, at $12 it was more than the others, but it was worth it, and I'm getting it next time. (Good Thai now anywhere but the Ave is $10 and up - get over it, cheapskates.) My green curry was tasty - a bit skimpy on the eggplant, but otherwise an exemplary green curry, my standard order at a new Thai place. I may try the eggplant dish next time (it's vegetarian - tofu - and I wanted chicken). The bathroom has an anti-Yelp sign alleging Yelp wants ads from them to show the good reviews and that regular customers say their good reviews aren't showing up (hence my post here). As a tech regulatory reporter I know many small businesses have sued Yelp under alleged "extortion," offering to show good reviews in return for ad spending. Looks like lots of negativity here too. I still recommend you visit Thai Fusion. Maybe after the evening rush.
Had lunch here. Great tasting soups and Pad Thai.
Can't go wrong. I frequent this restaurant often because it always fit the bill no matter what the occasion calls for. You can see the passion of ownership from the drinks to the menu and the environment. It's a great go to spot when I'm having multiple cravings for food, drinks and atmosphere. I find enough dishes done well traditionally and infusion style to not go wrong. The drinks is tempting as well as the selection of desserts. Atmosphere can be easy lounging to friendly gatherings. My recommendation is Tom Yum Kai (coconut soup), green curry, spicy pork basil, and for unique twist to all American- hamburger with a Thai peanut sauce.
Awesome decor, 'meh' food. Not the best Thai I've had but pretty good for the prices and Living Social deal. I don't think I will go out of my way to eat here again, though.
Cool place with great food. I live in the neighborhood and wanted to try this place because I love Thai food. Simply said the food was awesome! It was the best Thai chicken cashew entree I ever had.
Delicious! Great staff!. This place just opened and I've been driving by it daily on my way to work. Finally stopped by when a co-worker couldn't stop talking about it. I'm so glad i did!! i felt like i was treated like royalty, the owner even came by our table to see how we were doing and she is so nice and funny! I had the Tom Yum soup and it is so so SO GOOD! We even made some new friends in their super duper comfy lounge. Consider me a new regular!!!
This place is busy at lunch - I was surprised how fast it filled up - but also quick/great service!! Their lunch combo is great (pad Thai, rice and your choice of main from five options). Wish I could try so many options.
We ordered for four people and it took about 15mins to get our food. Cute decor and located near SPU. There’s also free street parking outside.
Got the Pad Thai with shrimp. Cons: doesn't come with sprouts, didn't ask online for spiciness and I felt there was none, and slightly smaller portion size than I feel other Thai places give.
Pros: food was delicious and cooked perfectly, even without any spice to it, the service was very friendly, and there were more fried egg pieces in the dish than most other Thai places offer. I liked that.
This place is great. The food is delicious and priced well. Thai wings and Tom Yum. Deliciousness.
Fast friendly service, Pa Nang Curry, Hammered Noodles, very good . Good beer selection
Great food. Would love it if they would update their restaurants hours on google. Came to order because it said it was open and it was not
Delicious Thai food! Wonderful Pad Thai. Quick and friendly service. Generous portions.
The white rice was cooked perfectly. The spicy garlic chicken tastes really great. The texture is weird and quality of meat isn't great but its as expected for the price!
I've been to quite a few Thai restaurants and the menu here is incredible. More than what one would "normally" see. I've never had/heard the dish in the photo, and my experiment was worth every star on this review! #Burp!
Awesome food, I want to go here everyday, but I’m a broke college student…
Ordered the thai basil fried rice and panang curry for takeout right before close, food was phenomenal and was handed to me with a smile! Great local spot definitely put it on your list!
