I should mention that I went here on a Groupon. Went here with my wife for our anniversary and, sadly, it failed to live up to expectations. The wine glasses they gave us were covered in food pieces and the wine was room temperature. The water jug had bugs in it. The chicken I had was very tough and the knife they gave me required excessive force just to make a dent in it. The noodles were very chewy and were more gummy worms than savory. They do also do use a lot of olive oil, so be advised. My wife's food was better, but still underdone. We are still at the restaurant now, but we won't be back. Hope everyone else has a better experience.

This restaurant is the worst restaurant I have experienced. I traveled a lot. We had a big group. We had a lot of funs around the city. Luigi guy promised us a deal for a family style dinner. We went in. It was the biggest mistake. Food was terrible. Pasta was cold. Since we add additional several cups of milk for kids and a few glass of wines. We were charged for over $100 per person. These guys are thieves.

I was visiting Seattle from Albuquerque, New Mexico with my boyfriend and we decided to visit Al Boccalino for a nice romantic dinner and boy were we disappointed. To begin, the restaurant is very small and claustrophobic as you are literally crammed into a tiny dining room with smaller tables. Second of all, the the food was very lacking. Since it was our very first night there, we decided to splurge a bit and get the family style dining option at $45 a person and the food was not only cold, but it tasted as if it were old and reheated. I was so extremely disappointed and I felt so cheated that it put a knot in my throat. I do not recommend this whatsoever to anybody. Please take account of my fair warning as it definitely ruined our night.

My wife and I attended a cooking class as a part of a groupon.
At first, everything was pleasant and I fully expected to have a wonderful night. I enjoyed the atmosphere and looked forward to a wonderful 5 course meal. What we received instead was a lackluster 2 course meal. To make matters worse, the groupon which was supposed to cover the entire evening was insufficient. It was only after we had completed our meal that we were informed that the restaurant had added an number of extra charges to the tab without our knowledge or approval. This was achieved by giving us items which were not included in the basic meal, without informing us that they would incur an additional charge. It should be noted that some of these items were simply put in front of us without asking if we desired them. Additionally, the groupon was counted only for cash value rather than under the terms which were expressed at the time of purchase. Those of us who had come with groupons expressed discontent, but we were unable to resolve the matter as the owner had departed in order to avoid the conflict which he clearly knew was coming.

DO NOT DO THE GROUPON DEAL!
Let me start by saying that the food and experience were superb. Other than a lack of communication (called twice to make and confirm reservation via voicemail and never heard back, And then there were troubles finding our reservation when we arrived) our dining experience was fantastic.
If they didn't make a point of swindling me with their GROUPON deal it would have been 5 stars. The deal was $49 for a prix-fixe meal for two (two appetizers, two main courses, two desserts and wine for two). The groupon mentioned that tax and gratuity weren't included. We received a bill at the end for the tax, which was $24 and some change. Even if the tax was based on the value of the food which was said to be at $104, it still should have been less than $10. Looking at the bill I realized that each of the prix-fixe meals had a price applied to them, the total price was added, and the price paid for the Groupon was subtracted from that (total price - 49 = what I paid). According to the bill this did not include gratuity. Long story short, there was no discount. It was a fraud. This is so unfortunate for a business with such great food and service.
My suggestion would be if you do choose to go and enjoy this restaurant that you should do so on your own dime and not go through the Groupon. This way you get access to the full menu instead of the small one that they offer to people using Groupon, and you know what you're paying for instead of getting swindled into paying full price and having them act like you're getting a discount.

This was THE BEST restaurant experience I have ever had. The food is delicious. The " Italian table" is best way to go. It is everything I grew up hearing about grandma Fini's kitchen. A surprise for every course of the meal. Anyone who likes Italian Food MUST eat here. Bucket list worthy. It's just awesome!

AGREE, DO NOT USE THE COOKING CLASS "DEAL" - I purchased a cooking class deal via Amazon Local and was told first available reservation slot wasn't until 4 months out. When we finally attended, my girlfriend left without participating due to a sickness. At the end, there was an unexpected hidden fee of 10% tax and unexpected 18% built in gratuity fee, of which they charged to the overall value of the voucher even though 1 of us participated. Lastly, the student who led the cooking class was easily annoyed at some suggestions by the class and was not graceful with his responses.
