We ventured over from the Swedish Medical Center to experience this fine old school bakery/cafe from a time when small family owned bakeries once dotted neighborhoods throughout this city. With the rich aroma of freshly baked goods and freshly ground coffee you are greeted by the friendly staff and display cases of decorated cakes, freshly baked cookies and pastries. Behind the counter was a small staff of bakers, mixing and forming the many items for the bake cases. We tried the bacon and egg breakfast sandwich, along with a cinnamon brioche with a ‘London Fog’ (tea with a latte) a rare menu item and a Americano. Everything was so tasty, we had to get a chocolate crossaint and cookie topped with bacon to go. I forgot to mention the huge purple green and yellow decorated King cake for Mardi Gras that they’re baking to order before February 13.
Seriously everything is amazing here. I love the vegetarian breakfast Sammie and jam biscuit. The salted Carmel croissant is outstanding. I've also order custom cakes from them for parties; they are so good I never have leftovers.
regularly get the creme brulee and red velvet slices, they are amazing. drip coffee was average or slightly below even. sandwiches are great. service is decent, not a lot of room to sit though, especially for parties of more than 2. there are a lot of plants and almost all of them are for sale.

Upon entry, it seems to be small, but then you feel it… you feel it, you smell it, you see it, you LOVE IT!!! Their items easily on display will send seducing vibes to your senses and your wallet. After drooling all over myself trying to decide what I just had to have as my breakfast, I settled on my must haves!! The Vegetarian Potato Quiche🤤🤤(O.M.Goodness) Simply Devine! I accompanied this with The Salted Caramel Croissant 😳😳🤤🤤😍😍!! I washed this down with a delicious cup of drip coffee! 10/10 for a “hole in the wall” kind of place. To me, they are the absolute BEST!!! Because they care more about WHAT they present, than how they present. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Nice quaint atmosphere and great food! I got the brie and prosciutto sandwich, jam scone, and London fog. Each was excellent and I'll gladly come here again!
Loved this cafe! Our coffees were great but their pastries were the star of the show. Lots of selection and different options. We had a peanut butter and ginger molasses cookie, jam scone and the almond croissant- everything was really good.
Went here for the first time and boy! I was amazed 😯!!! When you first walk in, you can see a whole display of yumminess pastries 🥐. I was literally mind blown 🤯. Will definitely come back to try their yummy snacks. I ordered an iced white chocolate mocha and it’s was delicious 🤤. Love love love it 😍.
Went here around noon and the food was amazing! Their breakfast sandwich was awesome. The lemon cookie was also a hit for me, I would definitely recommend it! The woman behind the counter was also lovely and complimented my hoodie. Just beware they don’t take cash, although usually not a problem nowadays :)
Perfect! When you approach the place looks dated on the outside. But then you go in, and you see 5-6 people baking, the aromas are amazing and you feel like you are in Paris. It’s me my new daily addiction! Great croissants, very tasty coffee, and superb pastries and cakes.
I visited this cafe with a friend of mine who lived in the neighborhood. I ordered a quiche and a London Fog. The quiche was pretty good and a portion worth the price. What really wowed me was the London Fog. It was perfection! I highly recommend it and I will be returning.
really enjoyed nearly everything at sugar bakery & cafe. the croissant was light and flaky and the jam scone was super tasty! the bacon breakfast sandwich was a bit odd to me. the bacon seemed rubbery and the baked egg square just didn’t taste very good. so i guess you chalk it up to win some and lose some. coffee was decent as well.
Lovely little spot for breakfast. Most they offer are sweet so perfect if you have a sweet tooth 🦷 😉
Salted caramel croissant 🥐 is my favourite. Highly recommend
