Honestly was so surprised about the ferry building. I read about the changes the place underwent and have to say, it's terrific! We found parking in the area difficult to find, but, it is right on the tram line so has a number of stops right out front. Inside we found the ferry building indoor market, really good variety of vendors with an amazing selection of foods, clothes, and other items. It was a very comfortable place to be and there is a really good burger place with outside seating to just watch the world pass by (Gott). Take some time to have a look round the visitors centre there, lots of history about the ferry building and also the bay area itself. You will also find toilets here. You can walk round the back of the building and see some of the guys fishing, but you will also find benches and good views too!

Cool place to get a view of the bridge. Also really fun to just grab one of the rental scooters to travel from the bridge to the fisherman’s wharf. The building has a ton of good places to grab snacks or meals

It's a great experience. Behind the Ferry building, there is huge place for sitting and enjoying the views. One can enjoy watching Bay bridge, ferries, skyline of Sanfrancisco etc., Statue of Mahatma Gandhi here, comes as a surprise. Inside the building are shops and eateries. Rest rooms are well maintained.

Good walkabout the Ferry Building and the surrounding pier area. Restoration is fitting with good views to the vaulted ceiling. But the real stars are thee foodie options. Good range of meat, veggie, gluten free snacks and desserts can be found. Also some artisan shops selling food/drink items from around the world. All in all a nice area of San Fran to chill out.

A great spot for shopping and eating (& catching the ferry) Some of the merchant shops and restaurants had changed hands since my last visit Pre Covid but the quality is still there. Prices are above average but the queues of local office workers that line up for a seat to eat are a testimony to the quality. Would recommend a visit even just to sit outside at rear of the building and watch the world go by.

Beautiful place, there's a wall decorated with a floral heart inside the ferry building. There is spacious outdoor seating. A wide variety of dining options, not too overcrowded inside or outside the ferry building at this time, before 1PM.

The boat was clean, not overly crowded (on a Thur.) and the crew and terminal staff were friendly and informative. I was very disappointed to find out it no longer goes to Fisherman's wharf but only the Ferry Building. It is not cheap either, cant imagine commuting on it daily. It cost $23.00 round trip for 1 adult. Kids under 5 free. You can save a couple bucks by getting a clipper card. Definitely recommend it, makes it easy. Parking is $8 for the day in the lot across the street.

Win, win situation, no worries! Easy on and off, right on schedule. Why stress out driving your car over the bridge, through traffic, paying too much for bridge fees, and high parking cost, then at the end of the game waiting in long lines to exit over priced parking lots. Ride the Ferry, relax, have a cup of Joe, or a beer, don't worry there are bathrooms on the Ferry. Enjoy friends and most of all enjoy the scenery, and the fresh ocean breeze
