We thought this was possibly the most delicious ice cream we have had. As a family of four we had two single scoops of rocky road and two scoops of some chocolate caramel crackle (OMG!). The lady who served us was lovely and friendly, and did not rush us to finalise our order. I think this should be a must do for SF visits.
We love this place! They serve the best ice cream in town at $5.50 a scoop. The brand is Michelle’s Ice Cream. It’s a hidden place in a really cute romantic area especially at night with all the lights. We get our ice cream here then walk over to Ghirardelli Square since the ice cream at Ghirardelli is not worth it, they have Dreyer’s at Ghirardelli for $9 a scoop. The best part about Norman’s is that Norman and his wife are serving the ice cream and they are such a cute happy couple!
My first visit to San Francisco.I didn't know it was so cold in summer, but I still wanted to find Mitchell's ice cream, which was delicious at dinner the day before.
They also offer hot drinks!Ginger tea was also delicious.I feel tenderness.I would like to visit again.
This was a small ice cream shop off an alley near the waterfront. The place has only a couple chairs inside and a few more outside. They served premium ice cream by Mitchell’s, a SF original that is still family owned.
Delicious ice cream and better tasting than the mainstream brands. There was no wait and the owners are such a sweet couple. When we went back for the second night in a row they remembered our order!
We tried the pistachio, mint and ube ice cream flavors and they were creamy, sweet and had lots of flavors. Cups, cones, freezes, floats and shakes were other ways to enjoy your ice cream.
A cozy place to get an ice cream fix. Great value for money. There was no rush when I went in which was a plus. I got a shake and they added like 4 scoops in it!
Most delicious ice cream. We have the caramel prailine and it was truly the best. My son loved the Grasshopper mint, as well. Owners were super nice and hospitable. Highly recommend !
Right next to Jacks Seafood bar tucked in the back. The coconut pineapple ice cream is absolutely phenomenal. The best thing is this halo halo drink prepared the traditional Filipino way with a scoop of ice cream of your choice. I got mango with it. The owner is super nice and said to eat it starting from the bottom up to scoop up all the yummy stuff. Absolutely loved it. This is something I would totally crave!
Absolutely worth a visit in San Francisco! Norman was so kind and let me sample a few ice cream flavors. They were all delicious!! I went with a scoop of classic strawberry. It was delicious and reasonably priced. I would definitely go visit Normans again and think it’s a great spot for ice cream in the fisherman’s wharf area :)
4.2 | good ice cream, they use Mitchell's ice cream - very flavorful and creamy. The coconut was particularly good. Very friendly service and very reasonable price point for the area. Worth swinging by.
This place is a real gem! I passed 2 other ice cream shops and I am so glad I didm Norman's ice cream was amazing. The lady recommended going for the fudge cake ice cream. She was very proud of the chocolate sauce they make using the finest ingredients.
From the first bite I was hooked. They are not shy on the toppings either very generous. The lady that served us even took out time to have a conversation and was very lovely to speak to.
I would highly recommend this place!
Halo halo and amazing ice cream!
The owners are so, so friendly, and they serve the Filipino classic halo halo w/ ube ice cream. I'd recommend the grasshopper pie and banana ice creams, we ended up coming here far too often on our trip, wish we had one near us!
