The Soapbox Cafe

I just moved to the area and these guys have for sure earned themselves a returning customer! I tried the signature latte and the richness of the dark roast mixed excellently with the acidity of the espresso. It was just what I was looking for during my lunch break. Will definitely be back to try the other signature drinks. I also tried the Abby’s way sandwich and got a nice dose of meat, cheese and veggies. Prices are basically what you’d expect for a small shop like this in SF. There were a couple customers in front of me and got a very quick turnaround on my order (~4 minutes). The staff was very friendly and I digged the decor. Looking forward to when this shop opens back up post-restrictions! Couple that with supporting a small business family and mission and you’ve got yourself five stars from me.

A great little spot serving Vietnamese inspired food and drinks mixed in with some classic American breakfast food. Their Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and not too sweet and their avocado toast was perfectly seasoned with a slight kick from the chili oil, perfectly ripe avocados and very good bread.

Can't go wrong with anything. Looking for a treat? Get the Vietnamese iced coffee and Stevie's Way Breakfast Sandwich (with Sausage and Gouda on Ciabatta. Comes with: avocado, tomatoes, Sriracha aioli, homemade pickled onions and pickled jalapenos). Top 3 SF Breakfast Sandwich: Stevies way, Devils Teeth, and Lous Cafe.

This place has a lot of potential but they need focus. It was a Saturday around 2 pm and there was only two staff working the entire kitchen. I had ordered coffees and a meal for my partner who I was with. The coffees took about 10 minutes to come out, which we assumed could come out earlier than the food itself. I had to go up and ask. In addition when we were given the meal there wasn't any utensils provided ... again I had to go up to the counter to ask. They then pointed at the back of the store where you could grab forks and spoons ... They need to step up the quality of their service.
