Nice dinner, friendly staff, will be coming back. The veal's alright, the chicken very good, the linguine with clams very good, caprese was good, desert very good. Liked the ambience, old fashion.
If the rack of lamb is one of the specials, don't walk, run to Marcello's! Also notable are the escargot, shrimp-stuffed avocado, halibut and garlic bread. Come hungry, leave happy, and meet new friends over a martini at the bar whose back bar reminds you of the mantle of your favorite neighbor in your hometown.

Wow! Authentic! Marcelllo the owner, is nice and accommodating. Food is awesome. When you order dinner, it comes with soup anti pasta, and of course your main dish. My family goes there twice a month for the last 20 years. Love it.
Marcello’s is my favorite Italian restaurant in San Francisco. It is a family tradition to go there every year and it never disappoints. All of the servers and employees are always so kind and they make you want to keep coming back.
Friendly, helpful staff and the food was pretty good. I had the halibut and it was delicious. My wife had sauteed calamari which was gluten and dairy free. She said it was overcooked, however.
I grew up going to Marcello's. My dad and step mother used to take me to eat there when i was very young. The owner taught me how to use a fork and spoon to spin my spagetti so i could eat it without it falling all over the place. It had been years since i stopped in for a bite to eat. The food is still great and staff friendly and helpful. Its a family buisiness and one of the places that makes me feel at home.
Marcello's is a treasure hidden in the Sunset area! The restaurants ambience is pure class..... The workers are friendly and professional and dress very nice in their tuxedo's..... The food is excellent with the wide variety to choose from! Being born and raised in the city I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!!
I have been to this restaurant many times. If you think of the food and the value you get you will find the cooking is outstanding, the presentation is outstanding and the service is more than outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a little Italian cuisine.
