Yes, folks these is a real ole fashion diner. This place has been open since 1935. It's a hidden treasure right here in San Francisco.
Let the photos speak for themselves. I ordered two eggs over easy and they were spot on. The onion rings were perfect. The waitress even asked if I wanted ketchup or ranch dressing for them.
As you can see from the photos the basket of onion rings was huge. One other person was in there and he ordered one of there burgers, o my God. The thing was giant.
The place is usually super busy. Why wouldn't it be? The food is fantastic, the service is beyond excellent, and the price are equal to the both the food and service.
Folks, I usually don't leave tips, but I did this time. So, come discover this hidden jewel of ours here in San Francisco.
I came here with a few of my really good friends after a play that we had been in and it was my first time coming here after being in the city for a while. This is a really cool spot to come if it's late at night and it's really easy to get to and remember this place because it's on market and Octavia. Amazing food, good milkshakes, and a great atmosphere to come and hang out in after your ears are ringing from the club or the bar. Old school waitresses and good cooks in the back that are nice and welcoming as well. Oh and by the way, the bathroom is in the back.
the stuffed bacon waffle is a must. watch your step though this place has one really tall old fashioned step and narrow door. if you’re not looking you’ll miss it.
Amazing little 50’s dinner. Came in on a slow monday brunch and was very impressed. The waitress was nice and the food was very good. The ingredients seemed simple and real.
I thought the prices were reasonable for the city till I saw the proportions; they’re huge! I got a bowl of split pea soup and my friend got a plate of eggs and potatoes w/ a pancake on the side. Definitely a great deal, be sure to take a friend and split a plate if you have a small appetite.
8/10 highly recommended.
Loved this place. Definition of an old school - retro American diner. Great food, service and Rock N’ Roll atmosphere.
Great burger! The fries, however, were wet, greasy and flaccid. The waitress is friendly and efficient. Overall a nice experience
I love this place!
We went after at 2am, after a night of dancing and the food and the service was amazing.
Can't wait to go again! The decor is also very cute
Great old school diner feel. Even better is the pancakes are amazing. Highly recommend
Ummmm ordered a Neapolitan shake and some black eyed peas soup with buttered bread. The shake was very good. It overflowed. Luckily there was a plate underneath. Pea soup was very soupy and full of beaten up beans. Would come again. #fourstars
Classic diner fare, in a classic diner. The place is well preserved inside, and sports a well rounded menu of pretty much anything that can be made with a flattop, fryer, and oil!
Cozy booth seating or swivel stools at the counter. A couple of beer options, and a wierd soju cocktail complement the usual diner beverage selection. Great bathroom decor...
