Awesomely authentic Italian food. Perfect NYE celebration. One of the best caesar salads we've ever had. Memorable ravioli, gnocchi and chicken Parmesan. Vibrant scene, attentive staff.

We’ve been there twice now. What a perfect little spot in San Francisco! The food is some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had and the service is always top notch. Sitting either outside or inside is sure to be a great experience. Even when they’re super busy, weekend evening, they make sure to take care of their guests. I plan to visit frequently.

So good !!! We had wanted to go to another restaurant which has a 2 hour wait on a Saturday night. I recall someone had said Cafe Sport was a good restaurant, so we came - what a gem ! The furniture is like what I had seen in Sicily - colorful and whimsical. The restaurant is cozy in atmosphere and spacious and not too noisy. Portion was very generous. We shared one salad, one Vongele and one pasta Diablo. Perfect !!! Highly recommend as a destination restaurant! Cozy decor and not too noisy. Decor can remind you a bit of Sicily & White Lotus (not luxurious but colorful). !!!

We found this gem on a busy Saturday evening checking out San Francisco. The place was very busy though the service was great and even better the food was delicious! The carbonara was the best I've ever had and the Melanzane and Chicken Parm were very good.

Classic dishes but done so so well. Definitely an underrated spot in SF for traditional Italian. Excellent service, amazing vibes and even better food. 10/10 recommend

Both me and a friend had the Pasta a la Diavola and WOW… the house sauce is truly out of this world. Creamy, rich, and with a nice little kick from those Calabrian peppers! We both said this is the best Italian dish either of us have ever had. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Caffe Sport is the 99th San Francisco Pizza Establishment I tried. I would say for the price it is decent. I don't fully regret giving them a chance as I know they are making Sicilian style Italian Food and are one of the places in North Beach who has remained and that the employees here are so Italian that when I walked by here to check the place out the host was so Italian that he only really could speak Italian. That convinced me that one day I should give them a chance as I am attempting to try as many San Francisco Pizza Establishments as possible and am coming up on the end of my term serving as Pizza Analyst for San Francisco, my very hometown, the 415, which emphasis put on such endeavor starting May 2022. This Pizza has very good cheese and it is clearly truly italian. Is it truly great? No. It's not necessarily average. Let me tell you something... can I? All the OG spots in North Beach have a certain little thing about them that makes each of them worth trying if you're trying them all because you will learn something new about Pizza from each of them. What I learned from Caffe Sport is that good quality cheese can still fall off any Pizza when the style of Pizza is the have a flimsy undercarriage besides the edges where the crust puffs up largely creating the "Chips and Salsa" effect where you have to essentially reassemble the Pizza yourself as you go. See my videos for real time footage of this happening. This Pizza does reside in Flop City from that perspective but it still is good in it's own way. I feel like if you want to try the best only don't even worry about this place. Not that you would considering the name of it, how it looks on the outside and the fact it's so close to legendary Pizza Establishments that I will not name so as to not bury one of the likely least popular, for a reason, Pizza Establishments (to be fair) in North Beach. Let's face it. I will say this though, paying $22.13 through Caviar for a Margherita and a side salad which had good quality ingredients - I am not mad and I don't regret giving them a chance but come on guys. I tried 100 places in San Francisco alone in less than a year. I have been to New York and Italy. And Chicago for that matter. So aside from a visit to Greenwich, CT I know what I am talking about. Caffe Sport - 6.8 One Bite Pizza Review style score. What? Addendum: Caffe Sport replied to my review stating "We appreciate your thoughts, Tiaga. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and let us know how we can improve. It's customers like you that help us be better every day. " This. This is what I like to read. This is what taking accountability as a Pizza establishment looks like. Other Pizza Establishments I have absolutely trashed and they refuse to retaliate. Usually places only respond if I say good things about them the whole time. I appreciate Caffe Sport for being willing to learn as they clearly do respect the craft of Pizza and the Men and Women of Consuming Pizza like me who diagnose themselves as experts. Respect. In fact, taking responsibility like that makes me pump them up from 4 to 5 stars. We're good now.

Looked at a few menus nearby and this one just called to both of us. SO glad we did! Place has been open forever (literally had a guy walk in with his son and be like “when I was in college I came here almost every day”). Got the spicy clam appetizer, amazing! Asked for a break basket just to sop up the rest of the sauce. Then we split the gnocchi and asked our server if we should do cream or marinara and he said he could do a vodka sauce with both so we did. Also amazing! Service was great (he even had an extra pair of reading glasses!) would recommend to everyone and will go back myself.

This is absolutely one of the best restaurants in SF in terms of both service and food. It’s Italian food with just a little extra pop and fire. Dynamite flavor! Best clam chowder in existence! Staff is truly incredible. I’ll be a loyal customer here for a long time.

They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's a cute, cozy, and romantic place for a late night date meal or glass of wine in a relaxed dimly lit atmosphere. Pasta taste authentic, hearty, filling, and always delicious. I have been coming here for a while now and the pastas never disappoint.
