San Francisco's Hometown Creamery

This place was great! Came here after a run even though it was cold in SF (is it always cold in SF?). But the ice cream hit the spot. The interior is really homely and reminds me of the ice cream shops that I grew up around. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I asked for 3 flavors to try and they were more than happy to give me the samples! I ultimately chose the coffee ice cream with donut bits and it was FANTASTIC. Such a great contrast in textures and flavors. All the other flavors seemed unique and delicious as well. I'll definitely have to come back and try the different ones.

There was a small line (about 4-5 people) when we arrived around 4pm. Regardless of the ice cream flavor you choose, the homemade waffle cone is a must. I got the s’mores flavor, which hit the spot on a beautiful SF afternoon. The staff was very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I’d definitely come back again.

I honestly enjoyed my Fresh Mint Chip in the cone!! The creation of Fresh Mint Chip was terrific and the staff were delightful. I tried the Mango sticky rice, and I minus one star as there’s no mango flavor as named. Coconut Sticky Rice flavor would be more accurate. Regardless it's a worthy craft ice cream and I would go back for more ice cream.

As a lover of ice cream I’d say this is a must visit spot! Local and unique flavors, I always stop by to peruse and see what new flavors are in rotation. Staff is always a delight, and the ice cream always hits the spot! Recently discovered the chocolate chip cookies are also amazing and perfectly balanced, so would recommend picking one up as well! Maybe add some ice cream to it 👀

Good ice cream with solid cookies. It’s a very straightforward and simple place, with a nice indoor ambiance. I will say I wish the cookies were fresh and heated (or at least the option given). It’s a pretty pricey cookie, and nothing too fancy, but if you like home style, soft, chewy cookies, and simple ice cream flavors.

Insanely delicious homemade ice cream with such flavor that it will knock your socks off. Michael, super friendly staff guy, was terrific telling us about the fresh ingredients and combinations. I had ginger pear sorbet paired with a rich chocolate in a crispy waffle cone... total heaven!!!!! Must try.
