Well this is just off union square and seemed busy so thought we would give it a go.
On entering there were a lot of messy tables and it seemed that they had had a rush on and there was only 2 of them.
We moved a few plates and got a table and started to look through the menu.
As not huge eater we just wanted a straight forward bacon sandwich. Altogether this was 23$ which was quite dear for a bacon butty and 2 teas but hey ho. When it did arrive it was tasty and good quality so didn’t mind what we had paid
Yogoberry granola crepe with strawberries, blueberries and banana. Lots of fresh fruit, natural yoghurt and lightly sweetened with honey. They also made an excellent double espresso "a longe" (long espresso). I liked everything so much that I came back the following day for the same breakfast treat :)
Enjoyed the pesto chicken sandwich and the nutella & strawberry crepe for lunch. Great lunch spot very short walk from hot tourist spot. Has the feel of a locals coffee shop. Loved the food, location, & especially the prices.
Good, Easy, Reliable and Quick. We needed a quick easy breakfast before heading to the airport. We went into Lori's Diner, which got poor reviews anyway, and there was a wait for a table and the place seemed very disorganized.
So we stepped into Cable Car Cafe and I was quite surprised to see such a full selection of breakfast, lunch and dessert options.
I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. My daughter ordered the Nutella/Banana crepe and it probably would have made a fine dessert, but was way too sweet for breakfast. The pancakes, bacon and eggs were good standards.
I would definitely recommend it for an easy breakfast or a late night dessert stop. I assume they keep late hours, although I'm not sure, but the menu seemed very dessert heavy.
The new York bagel was not only delicious but beautiful! Great service. Nice strong coffee. Very fair prices.
Great place for lunch - they have a great pesto chicken sandwich!
The 40 min wait is an unreasonable amount of time for the production of a crepe. But the wait was worth it, a very well packed crepe which was delicious but lacked a touch of seasoning. With the moist potato salad providing the perfect accompaniment, it made for an excellent meal and was very filling.
Overall we were happy with our breakfast. However, I think I would look elsewhere if in the area again.
Best breakfast we had in our weekend in San Fran. Not too big, and they do a bagel which you can have with one half savoury and one half sweet. Genius. Plus the staff super friendly. Forget the diners - come here.
We ordered the Lox Bagel Plate and Fisherman’s Wharf. Nice atmosphere and service, kind staff, fresh food and orange juice!! Will definitely come back!!
I don't normally leave reviews but this café was fantastic! Everything was so fresh, homemade and delicious. I'm glad we stumbled upon this gem.
Our favorite place for breakfast. Friendly. Order and pay at the counter. Free water. Loved the Berry Crepe.
Small but great place. Awesome and simple food with great service. Not to many tourists :)
Super amazing vanilla latte and crepes! Love it, was very busy but worth the wait!

It is a small diner on the city centre. The place is clean and the food is good. I remember the pancakes to be very tasty! The prices are not cheap but also not extremely expensive. However we decided not to repeat this place since the one in front of out hotel was better in terms of the food and price. We went there early in the morning and it was empty, afterwards 3 other costumers entered also. The atmosphere is friendly.
What a neat local place. Excellent crepes and pancakes. Their avocado toast is a meal with toppings and an egg. Also reasonably priced, which is hard to find just two blocks from Union Square. A great place for a casual meal.
Great little place to grab I bite. They have plenty of room to seat people. I believe 140 capacity limit. The food was also fantastic and each plate came with plenty of food. I actually shared my plate with my gf and I was still plenty full. If you mention splitting they will do it prior to bringing out the food. Baller service in that area.
It's ok. The food is good but the place is tiny, crammed with tables, no restroom, and hot. But they do offer iced water. The almond crepe and latte were really good. Service is quick.
