Best 炸兩 (fried doughnut wrapped in rice noodle) we've found in San Francisco so far - HK quality. In general all the dim sum was good. Decent portion sizes and Wide selection of all the dishes you'd expect - even the unappetizing ones like pig gut.
Service was quick and friendly. We got there after the lunch rush and they seated all 10 of us quickly.
It's a decent size so the noise level wasn't too high.
A reasonable, priced hole in the wall family owned restaurant, but they serve a delicious variety of generous portions of dim sum and Chinese food. Fast and friendly service. We all left the restaurant stuffed with some leftovers. Although it was our first time, it won't be our last. We'll be back! If you have not been there, don't walk, run! Just to remind you, they get busy. Apparently, it's a popular pocket friendly place that serves delicious Chinese food! Cheers!
My good friend who has been living in the Bay Area more than 30 years recommended this place. She used it to live near this restaurant and the quality of foods hasn’t changed since she’s been coming since 1990s. I am not sure when this restaurant first opened but I have to stay their foods are overall authentic.
We ordered sated fish and chicken fried rice , pea sprout with special sauce and various dimsum, rice noodles. They were all great and price was reasonable.
Five stars for overall value as the exceptional selection of Chinese dishes offers very good quality ingredients fresh ample tasty well prepared at a price point affordable thus attracting many local Chinese appreciative of having a great restaurant nearby for family get togethers birthdays anniversaries reunions and be sure to compliment the owner management team.
Riverside opens at 10am on the weekends. This is great for those of us that have to get food for to-go for family lunches at 12pm or earlier. I got their lobster e-noodles, salt and pepper crab and crispy salt and pepper spare ribs. $120 total. The service was excellent. I was waiting outside and the waiter brings it out with a smile. He remembered me! I'm always happy with the food. Dim sum and dinners are fantastic. Great job everyone at Riverside.
Have a dim sum for lunch and was surprisingly delightful lunch.
Came here early to yum cha with my dad, it was packed already. Luckily my dad was very close friends with the owner of this restaurant and we got seated quickly. I would definitely come back and recommend this to snyone who loves good dim sum.
Very good dim sum. Get there early as the place gets busy fast. Decent prices.
Noisy. Wonton Soup and Chicken with String Beans were very good. They will provide forks if you ask for them. Name does not indicate that this is a Chinese restaurant. Yes they had many seafood options but all cooked Cantonese. Water tasted not too chlorinated.
Came here once awhile when I crave for dim sum as this place is nearby my in-law house. Waiting time is between 30 - 45 minutes for party of 2 to 4 on Sunday if arrive after 12:00 PM. The restaurant has more family tables than small tables. No space to wait inside. If you have big family & would like to dine here during rainy season, call to reserve a table. My review is only for dim sum as I never dined here for dinner & lunch. Shiu mai, shrimp dumping, steamed beef ball, steamed egg yolk bun, chicken feet are my favorite. The flavor of those dishes were still the same when I ate here today except steamed egg yolk bun. I didn't see the running egg yolk when I broke it in half & not moist. Bit of disappointed. I always ordered egg yolk bun when I ate here. First time ordered taro puff & beef organ in daikon. Love both dishes. Taro puffs weren't oily & decent amount of minced pork inside with taste of taro. Beef organs were soft & flavorful. Overall, great customer services & foods with affordable price. Parking is easy as the restaurant locates in the residential area. Downside is waiting time.
