Gracious but glacial service because it’s good food , not fast food; While waiting , take in the scene : trailing vapors of airplanes in clear blue skies, birds flying high as the church bells toll for all souls ; Listen to the cafe’s Folk/R&B/Soul music that is piped to the outdoors area where I park myself with a book and order a local craft beer with a basket focaccia bread. Friendly service from Eviah. For vegetarians, best is breaded eggplant or vegan pizza ! Also great is Mario’s salad - generous portions! Their bathroom deserves the sobriquet , water closet. It needs to be updated.

I hate meatball sandwhiches and this waa still amazing! For my Iranian friends, it tastes almost exactly like a really good pan/oven kabab.

- Discovered awesome Graffeo coffee here, which is like the ones in Italy. - The foccia bread sandwich is good and fuss free, simple. - The Glutten free cake is good too. The ambiance transports you to a different era, friendly and smiling service inspite of being super busy.

There are no cigars or smoking permitted I managed to Smoke Cuban cigars here 8 years ago Most recently I was chased away for smoking at a business that calls itself a cigar store. Excellent food ambiance and people watching. Enjoy!

The Grilled Chicken #2 Baked Sandwich was phenomenal. The chicken was seasoned very well, and it was juicy and tender. Amazing homemade focaccia. Overall, an enjoyable sandwich and something I would order again. The service was rather slow, I wouldn’t come if I was in a rush. Sandwiches are the thing to get here.

Had a lovely dinner looking at a park in the outdoor seating this evening. Ordered the salad and had chicken added. It was the best most succulent well-cooked chicken. Not at all like a cut-up airport salad or anything. They clearly care about the quality of their food.

Super cool place in the heart of north beach! The ambiance of eating here is just so cool, and the food is delicious too! My favorite item is their margherita pizza!

Excellent in every way. The chicken panini in focaccia bread was the best we ever tried, and the tiramisu will melt in your mouth... Great service, friendly atmosphere, will definitely recommend it and come back soon. Brad our waiter was great, and so was the other gentleman.

**North Beach Classic** We've been going here for decades - way before North Beach has morphed into an Airbnb ghetto. It's a historical landmark. Food is basic Italian cafe fare and would benefit from some California cuisine freshness and pizazz. Wines are basic yet overpriced. Service is arrogant and lousy. But hey, it's a cultural institution not to be missed - a North Beach keystone for generations past and generations to come.

If there is such a thing as a life-changing sandwich, this eggplant parm sandwich is it - the focaccia, the marinara sauce, everything. Charming atmosphere inside and a nice little dining area outside overlooking the park, the two guys working were super welcoming and friendly, the lemon Italian soda was yum, food portion was generous, the music was great. Zero complaints. Go!
