I stumbled onto this place because I was hungry and the restaurants I wanted 2 try had long wait lines. I'm happy I found it.
I have no issues. It's not special but it has the feel of a 2nd rate restaurant that has been in the family for decades.
The menu looks familiar so it was easy to order.

$90 pp meal, and it blew me away. The mushroom curry was so flavorful. I also enjoyed the Tom Yum cocktail (like a gimlet) and the spicy beans. Everything was good and exceeded expectations. Fantastic service; they accommodated my partner’s shellfish allergy. The vibe is low key with minimal decor. We walked in on a Thursday night with no reservation and waited about 10-15 mins.

A very down to earth Michelin, there’s a set menu but you can also order a La cart. My highlights:
Caramelized pork belly: this is so so good, it’s so soft the fat part melts in my mouth, and the meat part is also very tender. The dish tastes sweet and mixes super well with sticky rice.
Bok choy: I really liked the bok choy, surprisingly. It’s very rich of taste, and the bok choy is very fresh and juicy.
The other two are friend’s rec but tastes okay for me. Pretty hot wings is PRETTY HOT so order at discretion.
The store itself is pretty cute, but the bathroom is a little far away in the hotel lobby.
We had to wait quite often for our server.

We sat at the bar on a Tuesday night. The service was cordial and efficient. The food was lovely. The squash in particular was remarkable, as were the beef cheeks and black rice pudding.

Summary: go at least once, order at least the yaowaraj noodle and the massaman nuea, don’t get more food even if recommended (waiter will tell you you need more), you will be so full you won’t be able to eat it (assuming you are two people) haha
I’ll kick it off by saying the food is really good but not life changing great. The pork belly was a little dry in my opinion and even though I recommend the noodles the chicken seasoning was a little too salty (I still ate the entire thing and would come back just for those). The price for me goes to the massaman nuea, it was so good, the meat basically crumbled by itself.

Was visiting SF for work, and a few coworkers and I decided to check this place out! Our server, Will, was super attentive and helpful in answering our questions.
We ordered:
1 Cha Yen
1 Blue Flower Limeade
1 Tom Yum 2.0
1 Lanna
1 Khao Kan Jin - this was blood sausage and I' be honest didn't look or sound good. BUT we were so grateful Will suggested we try it because it was so good, and unlike anything I've ever tasted before.
1 Pretty Hot Wings - the flavor was absolutely mout watering
1 Yawarai Noodle - Chicken, was by far my favorite dish of the night! That flavor I could (happily) eat daily.
1 Caramelized Pork Belly - shockingly I'm not a huge fan of pork belly, and this one changed my mind. Wow!
1 lasmine Rice
1 Baby Bok Choy
1 XO Brussel Sprouts
1 Coffee Panna Cotta
Can't wait to come back!

I don't normally leave reviews, but I was surprised this place had so many sub-5 star reviews, so I had to do something about it. If you're the type to read reviews, you'll know that a lot of ppl talk about the mushroom, the pork belly, and the beef tongue. No one really mentions the squash, which I felt was a hugely underrated dish, and the squid was also pretty nice. A critic might call the squash dish "extremely balanced". But I'm not a critic, so idk what I'm talking about. A bit of context: I had an 8:45pm reservation and was the last person to leave the restaurant at around 10:30pm. Sometimes I did have a bunch of plates on my table due to me not eating as fast as the chefs were cooking, but I think the staff were just trying to keep up with all the tables. I don't hold that against them, but some of the other reviewers do. Anyway, prix fixe was like 95$. You can pack up all your leftovers before they bring you dessert. If it's too much or too rich just save it for lunch tomorrow. I'm not a photographer, so the best photo I have is that squash salad, which I've added below. You can't really see the squash, but it's in there

I came here with my family for my birthday/graduation and it was an expensive but extremely tasty and fulfilling experience. Would definitely go here again!
My recommendations: The Caramelized pork belly and the Massaman Nuea (Braised beef cheek curry). Delicious!! I want to try more…🤤

While there is a US20 deposit per person, it's not a restaurant to miss when you're in the Bay area. Across the 4 of us, we shared 3 appetisers, 2 starters and 2 desserts. I would probably have the crackers and try other appetisers.
Our server was friendly and helpful. This is definitely another place to go with guests in town.

Terrific thai food with tons of interesting flavors and huge portions. Michelin food and very affordable non-Michelin prices. Nam Tok Beans and Caramelized pork belly were favorites. Sat at bar and ordered tasting menu. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
