Salsa and tacos were good but the salsa needs more jalapeños as it was weak as a limp noodle. Beer selection is good if you like IPAs

While art museums often have elegant or delicious dining options, the same can't usually be said for the cafes in science centers. The Academy Cafe breaks the mold, offering a range of tasty options sure to satisfy all diners from the pickiest kids to foodies. The prices are on the high end for a cafeteria, but the quality and selection will make you feel like you're not compromising just because you want to eat at the museum.

Even though it's mainly cafeteria style food, this place is excellent to grab a quick bite when you visit the Cal Academy. It has everything that a child or child at heart would want to eat. Plus, it has plenty of healthy and vegan options. Tip: Members get 10%. Make sure to show your card when you pay to receive the discount. Sometimes they even have special member deals, like a free dessert. (Try their cookies. #nomnom)
