Cash only. Take out only. $5 sandwiches and $4 Vietnamese coffee. They have canned drinks for $1.50, too. Very fast service. Great place to get a quick bite. FYI fanci pork is deli meat, not BBQ.

In a city comprised mainly of overpriced food, small portions, usually made with very little care (just facts), stands a glimmer of hope in the heart of the tenderloin, Saigon Sandwich.
If you’re wondering why this place has outstanding reviews, and people go to SF’s worst neighborhood to try it, just stop by and see. A roast pork sandwich for $5, stacked with meat on perfectly toasted bread. All they ask is that you bring cash to pay, and get it to go. Pretty fair trade in my opinion.
Make sure to ask for jalapeños to complete the perfect Banh Mi. I bet that after one bite, you’ll already be planning to come back.

Disclaimer! It’s CASH ONLY! This was the first time I’ve ever tried a banh mi and there just happened to be one close by. It was only $5 which is pretty cheap. It was so good and I finished the whole thing. The chicken was really good. It came with carrots that were pickled. And the pepper gave a nice spicy kick which enhanced the flavor. There were onions and a sauce as well. It was delicious and I totally recommend this place. 10/10 will totally come back.
EDIT: This is my favorite place to eat now and I recommend chicken or meatball pork. It is SO good I tell you.

I've been coming here for years. Whenever I'm in SF I make it a point to stop by and get a pork banh mi sandwich. Occasionally there is a line but they're move fast. 100% recommend this place to everyone.

Great sandwich at a great value. I really like the special combination, but roast pork is also a nice meaty choice. One of the best bangs for your buck in the city. Bring cash!

Providing delicious and nutritious sandwiches to the community for $5, this is easily my favorite spot in the entire city. Fresh baguettes, flavorful meats, and refreshing veggies make for the perfect bite. Cannot recommend enough!

Cheapest meal in San Francisco, $5 for an awesome sandwich! During our stay in SF we went back twice. Took roast chicken and roast pork, split it in half, got one of each. Wish it was closer, so good and delicious. Yum!
