If you find yourself looking for a breakfast/brunch spot, come here!
My dad has been coming here for awhile and I was in town visiting him so we we went to grab some brunch. Located just a little ways from fisherman's wharf it's a quick walk to get here.
Ambiance and service: We were greeted by David the owner and his son Darren and chose to sit inside. They've got some seating inside and some outside for when the weather is nice. Everything is nice and clean and you can see into the kitchen so you know the food is made fresh to order. Our order was taken quickly and food came out quickly!
Food: Their menu ranges from classic American breakfast, Chinese and Vietnamese food, and sandwiches. I ordered pho and a Vietnamese coffee and my dad ordered french toast with eggs and bacon.
I've had a lot of pho in different parts of the US so I'm picky about my pho and this is hands down one of the most flavorful pho broths I've ever had. Good size portion with all the regular pho fixings.
My dad always orders one of two things: french toast or chicken fried steak and according to him, both are delicious but I had the pleasure of of trying the french toast this time. It was cooked to perfection and not overdone in the batter or flavors.
Overall, I'm glad I got to eat here. From the service, to the food, I enjoyed every bit of it. I can't wait to bring friends here and enjoy more meals with my dad!

Could not recommend enough. The staff was incredibly friendly and fast. Honestly, if we stayed in the city longer we would have gone more than once. The food was incredible and has plenty of options for the whole family. We went for breakfast but did peek at the lunch and dinner menus and were tempted to go back for another meal!

We went into Darren’s to try out the breakfast. Our breakfast sandwich and crab omelette were delicious. The breakfast potatoes were the best I have ever had…crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.
We found ourselves back the next day for lunch and ate every morsel of the chow mein and fried rice we had ordered. So good.
The owner, David, and his son, Darren, were so welcoming and friendly. A fantastic place.

We stayed at Fisherman’s Wharf along Beach Street. Overwhelmed by the selection available from East to West. For breakfast, we had Pho and Fried Rice, while the rest of us had typical stuff like hash, fried eggs and bacon. Portions were right, not killer American servings. Price was reasonable. Most of all, the Asian dishes were a good spread.

I was going to write a long treatise about how amazing my eggs Benedict was and how tasty the crunchy potatoes were, but then I decided to sum it all up in three words: NOM FREAKIN NOM NOM! OK that was four words 🤣

I just left and can’t wait to go back.

This is a find. Pictured is the English muffin sandwich with ham. It was the perfect sized breakfast for me, but they certainly have lots of choices for bigger appetites. The service is friendly attentive, and prompt. Excellent coffee, a bright dining spot. Prices are reasonable especially considering it is in the heart of a tourist area.

Came for breakfast. We had the American breakfast with two eggs, hash browns and muffin and a bagel egg sandwich with Swiss cheese and bacon. It was really good. Service was friendly and food was served very quick. Definitely a good place to have breakfast in the city.

great place! the blueberry pancakes were great. bigger than i expected so i probably should’ve ordered just two instead of three, but my dad helped finish the third lol. great breakfast place. my dad enjoyed the coffee, too.

Delicious find close to our hotel (Hyatt Centric). We had great coffee and a fantastic breakfast while visiting San Francisco. The adults had Crab Benedict (highly recommend this seasonal item) and the Bagel Sandwich. Our son had eggs and toast, and our daughter was thrilled to be able to get lunch (specifically a bacon cheeseburger) at breakfast. Everything was well seasoned and cooked to order. Eating outside is especially nice if you can grab a table; a line does form here, but they move quickly and efficiently!
