If you are in San Fran, strike that; go to San Fran and eat at Pazzia! True authentic, hand made, fresh food. Literally the BEST Italian food I have had in all my travels. The only other way you’re going to get this exquisite of Italian food is by going to Italy. Everything, everything is mouth watering! I wish I had three stomachs to keep eating it’s that freakin good. I do apologize that I don’t have more photos…we ate it before I even thought of pics. But trust, it’s an orgasm to your taste buds.
The service is top notch! When we went there seemed to be many regulars that the staff knew well enough to hug upon arrival and departure. The service was as excellent as the food. Everything was great but the tortellini, along with the impeccable service, was a stand out.
Best authentic Italian in SF! We loved our evening at Pazzia. Outstanding food, great service, authentic Italian food. Great selection of spritz. Nice wine selection. We had pasta and vongole, which were delicious. We didnt have the pizza but it looked amazing. 🤩 Go!
Fantastic gnudi (spinach and ricotta dumplings) — a must with a good glass of red wine. Very good Negroni.
WOW!!!!! Highly recommend this amazing, cute, delicious Italian restaurant! Service was outstanding, the setting is cute and cozy. The food was absolutely finger liking good! We also ordered lasagna and pizza sorry I didn’t take pictures.
What a local treasure! Our 2nd delicious visit! The fresh food, the staff, and ambiance is top notch! We got to Pazzia right after dinner opening with no reservation. Thankfully we were able to be seated right away and outside. It was a beautiful warm evening. Appetizers was the homemade bread basket with smooth olive oil and Burrata. Just do it! Bread experience is a must.
Our group tried the following-
Funghi e salsiccia pizza
Pizza is thin crust. Sauce is light. Perfect.
Tortelloni de Vitello
Spinach pasta filled with veal in this silky mushroom cream sauce. This is a must try!
Lasagna al Ragu
Pasta sheets are thin, layered perfectly.
Pappardelle sul cinghiale
Homemade pasta in a boar ragu. Great flavor.
Spritz - refreshing on a warm evening.
What I love about all the dishes are no ingredient over powers the next. All fresh ingredients they partner each other well.
Our 1st visit was at the end of July. It had been on my saved locations. When I realized I was around the corner it was a no brainer. I took my friends and thankfully we were also seated right away. I loved how all the regulars would pick up food and give hugs to the staff.
We were impressed by each dish. While all dishes stood out the Spinach ricotta dumplings in butter & sage sauce. Wow!!! I had my friends try a bite. We all had the same reaction.
The Affogato was a great ending to our meal.
Thank you Pazzia for sharing your culinary masterpieces.
Your staff's politeness and welcoming demeanor completes the Pazzia experience.
Needless to say I will be back and make sure people know.
Handsdown one of the best meals we have had.
This evening we dined at Pazzia for the very first time. We chose this place because of the awesome reviews and we were not disappointed. Excellent service and the food could not have tasted better. We ordered bread, which was maybe the best bread we’ve ever eaten. Hot, crusty and chewy. This came served with a tiny dish of olive oil to dunk in. The bread was literally steaming when cracked open. We also ordered a Caesar salad and split that. The kitchen was kind enough to divide into two dishes for us. We had the lasagna (best I’ve ever had) and the rigatoni with house made sausage. When I say it was the best, I sincerely mean it. Incredible meal, service and excellent ambiance. We sat outside and they turned on the heater for us. Loved this!
Favorite Italian restaurant in the city!! Been here more times that I can count. Never had a bad meal here, but can’t come without ordering at least one pizza. Personal favorites are the margarita pizza, Prosciutto e Rucola pizza and lasagna.
You can see into the kitchen. I love places where you can see the staff cooking.
The lasagna is amazing. Good bread companioned with a tasty oil dip.
Service is great. The servers knows what they're doing.
It's a tight fit. If you're claustrophobic or need to talk about something heavy I'd save this for a night where it's all about the food.
I went alone after an evening at the MoMA and felt like I was treated like royalty. Man. If I could eat here every day I would. Anyways. Great food. Great place. Good price too. If you're in the area I'd go.
Pazzia has a very intimate feel (fireplace was a nice touch) and the food is fantastic. We had the salmon, the wild boar homemade pasta, and the prosciutto pizza. Each dish was incredible. Highly recommend.
