Boulevard is deserving of my first five star review as a Google Local Guide. Everything about the dining experience was worthy of the highest praise. First, I recommend at least business casual attire, however if you want to dress fancier this place is elegant enough to do that too. Definitely a great place to use a sophisticated statement piece or outfit. Upon entry, you are greeted with beautifully decorated interior and a bustling, yet tasteful and inviting atmosphere. I did find the seating layout a bit crammed at first, but I digress. I would recommend booking a reservation a week in advance for the standard dining room, especially on weekends. You can try your luck at the bar or Chef’s Counter as these options are first come first serve. Even though we made a reservation, we decided to sit at Chef’s Counter as there was an opening and we could be seated earlier than our reservation. This establishment has a corking fee if you bring your own wine (which we did). They also decant the wine if you so choose. The multi course experience has a cultivated list of seasonal options for each course. If available, I would recommend the Pacific Octopus, the Berkshire Pork Chop, and the Seven Layer Cake (photos of these three are attached). As some would say, “Food is art” and this philosophy rings true here in each of their dishes. Pictures and words do not do the entire experience justice and it is something that you must do yourself. Unfortunately, I did not get my receipt emailed to me like they said they would, so I cannot give a specific price breakdown. Here is a rundown of what we ordered and price (from what I remember): Corking fee - $50 Multi-Course experience - $120 per person Espresso Martini and Vodka Martini - $30 each Total - $480 (that is including tip and taxes for two people) Yes it is a lot for a two hour experience, however if it is a special occasion, a business dinner, or you’re really into fine dining, I cannot recommend this place more.

5-Star Shout Out for 12.19.2023. We were celebrating the holidays at Boulevard by sitting at the Chef's table/bar for dinner. What better way to decide what to order. The holiday decor & atmosphere was very comfortable, homey & lavish. We started with a split of the Hebrart champagne to accompany two starters, the Duck Liver Mousse and Ahi Tuna Carpaccio. Both were fresh, generous portions. After watching the chef preparations right in front of us, Constantinos, our server, confirmed our selection of the Filet and the Pork Chop as house specialities. He was 110% correct. They were both delicious as confirmed by 2 empty plates with few crumbs. A lovely Pinot complimented the selection. We rarely eat dessert but had watched the painstaking preparations during our whole stay and could not resist. The Tiramisu and Devils 7 Layer cake were out of this world. Fortunately, half of each went home with us. We highly recommend our selections and seating near the amazing chef & staff. JnJ

Boulevard restaurant in San Francisco is unequivocally deserving of a 5-star review. From the moment you step into this culinary haven, you're greeted with an atmosphere that seamlessly blends sophistication and comfort. The elegant interior and warm lighting create the perfect ambiance for an unforgettable dining experience. The highlight of Boulevard is undoubtedly the exceptional cuisine. The menu is a celebration of classic American dishes executed with a modern flair, resulting in a symphony of flavors that leaves a lasting impression. From the appetizers to the desserts, each dish showcases a mastery of culinary techniques and a dedication to sourcing the finest ingredients. The attentive and knowledgeable staff further enhance the dining experience. Their impeccable service ensures that every need is met, and their passion for the menu shines through in their recommendations and attention to detail. Boulevard's wine selection is equally impressive, with a thoughtfully curated list that complements the menu perfectly. The sommeliers are skilled in guiding diners to the perfect wine pairing for their meal. In summary, Boulevard is a culinary masterpiece that excels on all fronts. The exceptional cuisine, inviting ambiance, and top-notch service combine to create an extraordinary dining journey that's truly worth savoring in San Francisco.

Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant which felt upscale and elegant but not overly fussy. The service was friendly and knowledgeable but ultimately forgot it was my birthday when it came time for dessert (no candle). It’s ok - I’m a big boy but for prices like this details matter. All the appetizers we ordered were underwhelming with the exception of the tuna carpaccio which was spectacular. The Italian truffle pasta was dry, the beef tartare average, and the “arancini” bland - even with the pile of truffles that didn’t taste like much. The kaluga caviar and cauliflower soufflé was the biggest letdown. You couldn’t taste the caviar and it was a tiny portion. The quail was perfectly seasoned but the ham sandwich that came with it was a strange pairing. The lamb loin was delicious but felt under seasoned. The veggie sides that came with it were bland and just braised vegetables which felt boring. The pistachio tres leches cake was probably the best thing we had all night. The seven layer cake was way too sweet. Overall, with a modest bottle of wine (Mahi, $55) and tip the meal was nearly $500 for two people. Was it worth it? Not really.

The HIPPOLITE GIN MARTINI was fantastic, the ravioli very good, the pork was the “best cook all night.” Wine suggestions brilliant. I should have skipped the chocolate desert, but I had to chose something from the fixed menus, and what I did eat was very good.

Came recently for our anniversary dinner, our first time back since the pandemic. The food was delicious and service was quite good. We were early for our reservation and sat at the bar for cocktails until our table was ready. I tried using a cardboard coaster instead of a wet napkin but the bartender took it away from me to put back in the stack which was weird. Other than that, our service was great. The main dining room has pre-fix menu of 3 courses for $119, which also includes an amuse bouche and bread. Our waiter recommended a few dishes for each section, including the ahi carpaccio appetizer which was delicious and a sizable portion. Another highlight was the chocolate cake - incredibly rich but very well balanced. They had one single vegetarian option for the mains - places like this are why I’m still pescatarian. I opted for the halibut which was good but nothing particularly special. My main issue is the pace of the food. I miss being able to just order a main rather than being forced into a tasting menu. We ordered, selected some bread off a platter (the sesame crusted loaf was amazing), and had an amuse bouche brought out immediately after, followed almost instantly by our first course. I appreciate not having to wait for food but I would have liked a bit more time to enjoy and not feel rushed. Also Ken Fulk’s redesign feels a bit gaudy.

Hadn’t been here in over 10 years but it has always been a family favorite. It definitely did not disappoint! Excellent flavor and texture balances. A great place to dine and create memories.

My coworkers and I went here for a holiday team dinner. First of all, the decorations were amazing. It definitely felt festive and added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Secondly, the servers are so friendly and very accommodating. Lastly, the food tasted amazing but some dishes can be improved. We got the prix fixe menu but it’s ultimately customizable to a certain degree especially if you’re vegetarian/vegan. Anyway, I got the seared scallops for the appetizer and it’s 💯💯💯for my mains, i got the halibut which i think was a bit dry. Fishes can be tricky to cook. And for dessert, i got the molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream and it was heavenly 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 will probably go back to take my husband here, but definitely this is a special occasion type of date venue.

Haven’t been back for a long time. Used to be a steakhouse or that’s what I remembered eating. The menu is quite different. Fortunately, the food did not disappoint. And the bartender very nice guy.

Really high quality food for a fair price. This place is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The waiter was very nice and attentive. We really liked dinner.
