Burgers are good and juicy; fries are fresh and tasty.
Service is good but bathrooms were messy.
You can stack a beef patty & fried chicken topped with American cheese for a bun-less option under $6. Good service.
I’m happy that Shake Shack decided to expand to the west coast. This location is one of the smaller ones in San Diego, but the One Paseo area is nice enough to take your order to go and enjoy outside somewhere. Parking is fine, too, since the parking garage is right behind it. I can’t say enough how good the food is.
Overall it was fine. I think I remember the cheeseburgers being slightly bigger. These were pretty tiny. I took a couple of times for them to get my order correct, but overall it was fine.

Visiting from Hawaii, this was my first time trying the burger...so ono, definitely will make a Shake Shack a must stop whenever we visit the mainland. Hawaii people like to go to In N Out Burger when traveling but I think Shake Shack is so much better

The burgers here are spectacular. They're of the smashed variety and with higher fat content. Beefy and juicy. Well-seasoned. High quality buns, lettuce, tomato, good American cheese and a tasty special sauce. You can't do better for the price, IMHO. I'm glad they're not fashionably colossal and stupidly over-stuffed. They're easy to eat, Yay. A single patty with fries are more than enough food to make me completely full. If that's not you, double patties are an option.
I had the regular Shack Burger, regular Fries and a specialty drink, the Lime Agave Lemonade. Fries were crispy and tasty but the drink was unpleasantly weird. To mimic a Margarita drink without alcohol they add a lot of salt and a whiff of jalapeno. Totally not something I enjoyed but that's a matter of taste. It really needs Tequila to work. I'll def try their regular lemonade or a milkshake next time.
It's a spacious and attractive place set in a very pretty shopping mall called One Paseo. Staff was friendly and efficient though the tables could have been cleaned a little more frequently. There are lots of outdoor seating spaces scattered about One Paseo and Shake Shack has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating within their own establishment. One minor complaint: no posted menu on premises. You need to order from a station or online to see offerings and prices. Slightly precious. Convenient free parking is available in multiple garage buildings. It's a real pleasure to visit and even more so when you savor one of the most delicious burgers anywhere around.
This was our first time to visit Shake Shack. The single burger was somewhat smaller than expected and not terribly appealing to look at. The taste was good which offset the looks. The double cheeseburger was considerably bigger and somewhat better presented.
Our servers seemed a bit confused. We quickly found out that they were "in training" although it seemed in this case it was the "blind leading the blind.
We most likely give Shake Shack a second chance.
To call shake shack the in-N-out of the east coast is very disrespectful.

Got the avocado bacon cheeseburger 🍔 ( really good ) Bacon cheese fries 🍟 and a hotdog All of them we’re good.
I like the touch screen menu ( it makes it way easier to order ) nice clean restaurant friendly employees great food. Will definitely be back. I would have to put it up there with Freddy‘s ( steak burgers ) as the best burgers in San Diego and beyond
My first time I tried Shake Shack was in New York and it’s so good. Now trying Shake Shack, San Diego. This time I had Shroom Shack I like it’s crunchiness, Chicken Bites with honey sauce, Cheese Fries & Strawberry Shake, I do love them because they’re not too salty and sweet. I used the computer inside for my order, few minutes later got a text that my food are ready! I’m impressed for the fast service. I definitely try their different items in the future.
