Gelato Paradiso offers authentic artisanal Italian gelato and sorbettos. The taste and texture of their luscious gelato is incomparable.
My advice is to try the tiramisu gelato or the salted caramel gelato (my favorite), the latter being infused with crispy bits of dark European chocolate for flavor enhancement and texture. As you lick your way through whatever you select, you'll find that the uncompromising approach of Gelato Paradiso results in bold flavors and satiny richness that is uncommon in American gelatos.
My only potential knock against Gelato Paradiso is that the selection is smaller compared to other places in the city (like Chocolat and Gelato Vero). But do you really need to offer 30 different zany flavors of gelato if you have 6 or 7 that are truly remarkable? Probably not.
Gelato Paradiso is located at the Headquarters complex in Seaport Village, and thus walkable from just about anywhere downtown. If you need to drive, parking will be a hassle but entirely worth it.

Cool place with friendly service. Great way to to of the evening and great some gelato and go for a stroll. Staff was great with testing anything you'd like. Lots of flavors to choose from. Clean throughout and centrally located to lots of other eateries. I'll stop by anytime I'm in San Diego.

Up to 4 flavors in a cup. We got all dairy free sorbetto flavors - peach, pineapple, mango, and lemon. AMAZING flavor! And SO SMOOTH! Definitely coming back before the end of our vacation.

The most amazing ice cream I've ever had!! It is so delicious. They have so many flavors and there isn't a single bad one. The staff is really friendly and will let you try lots of flavors. It's also in beautiful seaport!

I love how you can pick any four flavors for the cup option (regardless of size). If you are more of a cone person, you can pick ang three flavors. If I lived closer, I would definitely take some to go because they have to-go containers.
