My service was great and the ambiance and atmosphere was great. But there food is average at best. If you do get food get the pizza. The other downside was that my captain and Coke was $14 a pop. At night that wouldn’t be a problem but I think it’s a bit much for drinks at 4pm. I’m use to downtown prices but that seems high.

Located in the heart of Gaslamp. We were bar hopping and stopped here for a couple drinks this Sunday late afternoon. The hostess was not too inviting, but as we were about to walk away, a gentleman walked up to us and convinced us to go in with a bar promotion. Shout out to our bar tender, Timothy who was very attentive and mixed our drinks perfectly. This pub has plenty of TVs playing sports with a great atmosphere. We didn't experience the nightlife here as we walked in during the late afternoon but we were pleased with our experience.

$5 all you can eat taco Tuesday! Yesssss! Buffet style with sides that include traditional rice and bean plus grilled zucchini and cucumbers. Had a happy hour beer too! Left paying less than $10. Had 3 rounds of tacos. The servers there were nice and pretty too. Definitely a great place for Taco Tuesday right in the heart of gas lamp! I will be go again.

I went to American Junkie during the San Diego Zombie Crawl as our first stop and check-in point for our Halloween bar crawl, but the vibes were so amazing we stayed there for the majority of our night! The interior was spectacular with lots of lights, and everyone was having a great time dancing in costume! Definitely one of the best places to go in Gaslamp for sports during the day and fun during the night.

Started at American Junkie for the San Diego Zombie Crawl and was not disappointed! Was greeted by friendly hosts and a welcome shot to start the night. I ended up purchasing the Pumpkin Espresso Martini and would recommend everyone try it. Overall, music was great, staff was attentive and lots of picture opportunities.

Huge shoutout to Dave at the front entrance for always greeting everyone with a great smile on his face and making the whole guest experience exceptional from beginning til the end!!!

I’m a little biased when it comes to AJ because I’ve been here plenty of times, but it was also one of the first places I partied in San Diego (Mardi Gras 2022). . From what I know they have specials a few nights per week. Happy hour starts early evening at 5pm until 7pm Tuesday through Thursday and in Friday it’s extended one hour until 8pm. They do 50 cent boneless wings & host Trivia on Wednesday. Most recently and potentially a ritual, I joined them for Taco Tuesday with THE BEST deal for tacos in downtown with all you can eat for $5! . The three kinds of tacos you can get are pollo, barbacoa (shredded beef/birria), abodaba (pork) I spent $7 and got three tacos, two order of potatoes, rice, beans and a ginger beer. With tip it was dinner for $10. It gets really busy in there so get there early & sometimes they sell out! The place turns into a night club at 9pm most nights with a DJ & strobe/disco lights. There’s also beer pong and a photo booth. . The restaurant is pretty big with two bars and lots of booths & lounge seating as well as their patio & the rest rooms are always clean. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite places to go in Gaslamp and I always recommend it to anyone looking for a good time.

"Dave is amazing. I would not come to any other place, especially without him. He definitely does not get paid enough" -Dave did not tell me to say this

I love American Junkie!!! Its one of the best bars in the Gaslamp. I went here for the San Diego Zombie Crawl that Gaslamp Event Management puts on every year and it was a blast. Everyone was having so much fun and the vibe was amazing. I was able to get my welcome shot very easily and the check in for the Zombie Crawl at American Junkie was a breeze.
