Yummy for your Tummy

We had a family gathering at Marino’s Pizza. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but you’ll find a spot if you’re resourceful. The service was great and the food awesome. You must try this place if you’re in the San Diego area.

Been coming here for years. A family restaurant, you will feel like a long-time friend when you walk in. The spaghetti is excellent, be sure to add meatballs, they're delicious. Mangia!

This place is so quaint it feels like your having dinner with an old Italian family. The food is delicious the service is quick and friendly and the locals are at home here. After 60 years they got it right even my water tasted special. The flatwear is eclectic and super clean. The decor style is a splash of everything from all over. The locals eating behind me were discussing how beautiful the eggplant was when they were served. My minestrone soup was really good and the Italian dressing for my salad was so fresh and bold the lettuce was grateful. The garlic bread and lasagna was to perfection and we have a new ( to us) spot to frequent. Stop in this family place when they are open.

I love this place, my parents love their food, and that is saying something as they are kind of picky. my favorite of course is their pizza. Mom loves their egg plant parmesan.

Wow. The pizza here was excelent! The restraunt it self was very nice and slighlty romantic with it's dim lights and there's plenty of memorabilia and vintage pictures too look at. My brother had the spaghetti an he had said that he liked it a lot. The service was great very nice and respectfully, an overal warm feeling! I recomend this restraint if you happen to be in this area.

Great homestyle Italian. Are you looking for good Italian, this is your place. We ordered baked ziti, lasagna and a pizza. The servings are generous and the dinners come with soup AND salad. The soup was ok, nothing to write home about, but the Italian dressing was good. Then put meals came! LARGE portions. I probably didn't even finish half my ziti. Good wine, good food and nice home style atmosphere. We went early, but it started picking up. They know patrons by name and order and a lot of carry out calls. Overall sad that it's taken me 2 years of living in the neighborhood to try this one out!

Nice atmosphere, very Italian decoraded, live piano play, try birds peroni for first time, pretty nice blonde beer, highly recommended for the family. More important of all, food is delicious, pasta al dente, homemade food from scratch.

I have been coming here for more than 25 years. Every dinner has been stupendous. From their spaghetti, ravioli, lasagna, to their pizzas it has been the best. It is down home good and especially good on cold winter nights. Every dinner comes with a nice salad and home made soup. Mark is the main man here, but the whole staff and chefs are very friendly and capable. We eat here a few times a month and always look forward to our dinners here. We usually take some home and it microwaves very well except the pizza deserves a real oven for warm ups. The food and the ambiance is old world to a time when people were kinder and meals were a family gathering. A wonderful family owned place!

I'm a first time customer who will definitely return. The food was excellent as was the service. I had the Baked Ziti (with 2 meatballs) and my buddy got the spaghetti with meat sauce. WARNING! Our server warned me that the Ziti was crazy hot from the oven... I didn't listen. The cheese on top was like lava. Delicious stringy gooey lava. If you've never been, go now! You won't be disappointed.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. We were made to feel welcome from the first moment we set foot in the door. Great variety of Italian dishes including unique toppings for pizza. We had cannelloni, baked zucchini, and tortellini. Soup and salad we're included as an option for a full meal. Portions we're good sized and we left with plenty for later at home. Good assortment of wine and beer as well. The walls were filled with wonderful paintings with many curios on shelves throughout. You won't regret a meal from this hidden gem.

I grew up in Crown Point and being Italian we ate here all the time. I remember always getting the spaghetti w butter (I had lots of stomach issues as a kid), but when we didn’t eat in we always got their pizza. Loved it. I will be 52 on Sunday and my bf is taking me here for dinner. It’s really awesome to see a family business going strong after all these years especially in the beach area. I’m excited to go back after all these years ! Update: had dinner w the bf. The place is smaller than I remembered but I guess everything looks bigger when you’re small. Very friendly staff and not much changed. It’s a good local Italian place but nothing fancy. Only open for dinner and very little parking. I hope the locals support it enough to keep them open for another 50 years
