I recently visited Extraordinary Desserts in San Diego, and my experience was a mix of sweet moments and slight disappointments. I tried their Passion Fruit Ricotta cake, and I must say, I liked it. The balance of flavors was on point, and it was a delightful. However, I also ordered the Tres Leches cake, and unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. Personally, I found the sauces to be a tad too rich and sweet, which somewhat overpowered the cake itself. Despite having a sweet tooth, both the cakes and the cookie I felt it was a bit too much in terms of sweetness for my liking. That said, if you're a true dessert aficionado who loves intensely sweet treats, the Tres Leches cake might be right up your alley. But I did hear that their Viking cake is good if your into chocolate. Extraordinary Desserts offers a wide variety of options, so there's something for everyone. Give it a try and see if it satisfies your sweet cravings!

Nice atmosphere, nice location. Staff was kind and attentive. The chocolate truffle cake slice was delicious. Not sure why everything needs gold though. The pastries are good on their own. No need for gold. Kind of cringe.

I was curious as I was told that it is a popular bakery in San Diego. Indeed the desserts were tasty and they had a good variety of options. The coffee was ok, not great and therefore overpriced. Though the hype surrounding the bakery seemed a bit overrated in my opinion, overall it provides a pleasant atmosphere and a range of fantastic looking desserts for sure.

Yummy food. The grilled cheese was great. Desserts looked beautiful and were really tasty.
