We ordered online so that we could pick it up faster, but their kitchen doesn’t open until 11am which we didn’t know so we ended up cancelling a panini when we got there in the morning. The desserts are always so tasty though- I wish there was one in LA!

Extraordinary Dessert truly lives up to its name! From the moment I stepped into this quaint dessert haven, I was absolutely blown away by the delectable treats and the warm, inviting atmosphere. Let's start with the star of the show - the Coconut Pineapple Cake. Oh, my taste buds were in ecstasy with every single bite! The cake was incredibly moist, the pineapple filling refreshing, and the hints of coconut brought a tropical twist that transported me to paradise. The presentation was equally impressive, with elegant frosting and delicate decorations. It was a true masterpiece that left me craving for more. But that's not all - the coffee at Extraordinary Dessert is nothing short of perfection. Whether you prefer a smooth latte, robust espresso, or creamy cappuccino, their baristas expertly craft each drink to perfection. I found myself lingering longer just to savor the rich flavors and comforting aroma that enveloped the air. The sandwiches here are the perfect balance of fresh ingredients and homemade goodness. Each bite is a symphony of flavors, as the perfectly toasted bread envelops the flavorful fillings. From classic combinations to innovative creations, there is a sandwich for every craving. And don't forget to pair it with a cup of their hot chocolate - velvety, decadent, and simply divine! Of course, I couldn't leave without sampling a few more of their tantalizing cakes. From the first heavenly forkful to the very last crumb, each slice was a celebration for my taste buds. The variety of flavors and textures showcased their culinary expertise, and I found myself delighting in unique combinations like the Lavender Honey Cake and the Raspberry Pistachio Tart. Indulgence at its finest! Additionally, the service at Extraordinary Dessert was exceptional. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their creations. They guided me through the extensive menu, offering their personal recommendations and ensuring that every visit was a memorable experience. Extraordinary Dessert is truly a haven for dessert lovers, a place where every morsel is a work of art. The Coconut Pineapple Cake, coffee, sandwiches, hot chocolate, and all the other cakes are simply extraordinary. Whether you're seeking a sweet treat, a satisfying lunch, or simply a cozy escape, this is the place to be. Trust me, indulging in their delights will leave you with a smile on your face and a newfound appreciation for the extraordinary.

Some of the best pastries I've ever had. We had the coffee cake (blueberry cheesecake) and the bread pudding (pumpkin apple). Atmosphere is elevated and romantic. Street parking wasn't too hard to find (we came here on a Sunday evening). Portions were generous. Absolutely delicious. Looking forward to coming back.

Ordered scone, chocolate cake, Danish, and cheesecake. They were all underwhelming especially scone. Panera has better scone. The chocolate cake was fantastic! The cheesecake is on the lighter and fluffier side which is delightful. However, I am not too overly impressed besides the glamour and decoration were put the plates.

I recently visited Extraordinary Desserts in San Diego, and my experience was a mix of sweet moments and slight disappointments. I tried their Passion Fruit Ricotta cake, and I must say, I liked it. The balance of flavors was on point, and it was a delightful. However, I also ordered the Tres Leches cake, and unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. Personally, I found the sauces to be a tad too rich and sweet, which somewhat overpowered the cake itself. Despite having a sweet tooth, both the cakes and the cookie I felt it was a bit too much in terms of sweetness for my liking. That said, if you're a true dessert aficionado who loves intensely sweet treats, the Tres Leches cake might be right up your alley. But I did hear that their Viking cake is good if your into chocolate. Extraordinary Desserts offers a wide variety of options, so there's something for everyone. Give it a try and see if it satisfies your sweet cravings!

Love this place! I’ve been coming to this place since the old location and since I was about 15 years old. I can always count on extraordinary desserts to have the decadent, rich cakes I adore and crave. I live in North County in Vista and often when I get a sweet tooth I makes excuses to travel downtown to purposely be in the area to pick up. A treat.

Interesting cafe with a wide selections of generously portioned desserts, coffee and alcoholic beverages, cheese plates, sandwiches and other food. Stopped by for coffee drinks and tried couple of their cookies. They were fresh and tasty.
