Some of the best pastries I've ever had. We had the coffee cake (blueberry cheesecake) and the bread pudding (pumpkin apple). Atmosphere is elevated and romantic. Street parking wasn't too hard to find (we came here on a Sunday evening). Portions were generous. Absolutely delicious. Looking forward to coming back.

Love this place! I’ve been coming to this place since the old location and since I was about 15 years old. I can always count on extraordinary desserts to have the decadent, rich cakes I adore and crave. I live in North County in Vista and often when I get a sweet tooth I makes excuses to travel downtown to purposely be in the area to pick up. A treat.

I recently visited Extraordinary Desserts in San Diego, and my experience was a mix of sweet moments and slight disappointments. I tried their Passion Fruit Ricotta cake, and I must say, I liked it. The balance of flavors was on point, and it was a delightful. However, I also ordered the Tres Leches cake, and unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. Personally, I found the sauces to be a tad too rich and sweet, which somewhat overpowered the cake itself. Despite having a sweet tooth, both the cakes and the cookie I felt it was a bit too much in terms of sweetness for my liking. That said, if you're a true dessert aficionado who loves intensely sweet treats, the Tres Leches cake might be right up your alley. But I did hear that their Viking cake is good if your into chocolate. Extraordinary Desserts offers a wide variety of options, so there's something for everyone. Give it a try and see if it satisfies your sweet cravings!

We ordered online so that we could pick it up faster, but their kitchen doesn’t open until 11am which we didn’t know so we ended up cancelling a panini when we got there in the morning. The desserts are always so tasty though- I wish there was one in LA!

Nice atmosphere, nice location. Staff was kind and attentive. The chocolate truffle cake slice was delicious. Not sure why everything needs gold though. The pastries are good on their own. No need for gold. Kind of cringe.

Ordered scone, chocolate cake, Danish, and cheesecake. They were all underwhelming especially scone. Panera has better scone. The chocolate cake was fantastic! The cheesecake is on the lighter and fluffier side which is delightful. However, I am not too overly impressed besides the glamour and decoration were put the plates.

I was curious as I was told that it is a popular bakery in San Diego. Indeed the desserts were tasty and they had a good variety of options. The coffee was ok, not great and therefore overpriced. Though the hype surrounding the bakery seemed a bit overrated in my opinion, overall it provides a pleasant atmosphere and a range of fantastic looking desserts for sure.

“Extraordinary” in the absolute sense ! What an amazing find in the downtown area - an absolute delivery for delectable desserts ! Our order and it’s ratings are - Ricotta Blood Orange Cake - 5/5 Go-to for all citrus cake lovers, this cake was layered with moist white cake soaked in blood orange flavor, a light, airy ricotta cream and berries. Was served in a pool of raspberry syrup and edible flowers. Dulce De Leche Chocolate Cake - 5/5 A chocolate lovers delight, this cake had multiple layers of chocolate brownie, chocolate mousse, ganache, praline crunch and dulche de Leche. Was served with chocolate syrup and edible flowers. Brown Sugar Latte - 4/5 The Golden Milk Tea - 1/5 We had very high hopes for this but this was a desi turmeric latte (Haldi Dudh ! IYKYK) Overall, will definitely recommend this place ! Waiting to go back to try more of their menu !

Never been before. Were treated to an anniversary dessert. They are beautifully presented. And was really the best I've ever had. Had to share pictures too.

Interesting cafe with a wide selections of generously portioned desserts, coffee and alcoholic beverages, cheese plates, sandwiches and other food. Stopped by for coffee drinks and tried couple of their cookies. They were fresh and tasty.

Wow. How beautiful and unique these desserts are. This location is beautiful as well. We wanted something sweet to end our afternoon out and this sure helped. We ended up getting a piece of blueberry cheesecake coffee cake , a lemon bar and a chocolate struddle. It's all about to be devoured. Please go check out this amazing place if you want a gold accented, floral decorated amazing dessert. Yum.

I tried their recent special cake, Tequila + chocolate. It is amazing!!!!! I’m a super fan of truffle chocolate and mousse, and this cake is perfect for me. It is heavy but so delicious. I highly recommend if you want to try something new. By the way, I don’t really taste tequila in this, which is great because I don’t like the tequila taste, especially if it’s in my dessert.

Spacious and relaxing vibe. We ordered the lemon bar, chocolate caramel cake and blueberry cake. The lemon bar was a bit acidic but had a great texture. The other 2 were perfect, not too sweet. Will go back to try other dessert they have.

Amazing. Excellent. Extraordinary. The name of "Extraordinary Desserts" is really perfect. The treats here are not only visually appealing, they are delicious. Not overly sweet, but with just the right amount of sweetness to bring out the natural flavors of the dish. perfectly balanced. Great coffees. delicious teas. professional and nice staff. This is the perfect place to come to for any occasion.

Always top tier desserts, my eyes are always bigger than my stomach because there is such an amazing selection. Not just desserts but food and drinks always. Definitely one of my favorite guilty pleasures. MUST HAVE DESSERTS!!!

This place is amazing. Top of line desserts and made with such attention in detail. We don't usually go to the same place twice while visiting but this one captured us. First time we ate the chocolate truffle bread pudding and this time we ate the Tiramisu and it was amazing! So glad we came back
