I've eaten at TinkaTaco a few times, but never dined in. Food was good as usual, had a bit of a wait for some items. I had the enchilada plate with carne guisada, a puffy taco,, and we ordered some sopapillas to finish the meal.
Service was good , but could have been a bit better, our drinks weren't refilled for a while and we wanted to order an additional item but the waiter didn't come back by. Otherwise the meal was pretty good.
I would stop by here again. Some of the better tex-mex food.
The restaurant is clean except for a few annoying flies. I ordered the carne guisada, which was very tender. My mother ordered the chorizo and egg, and she noted it was very delicious. I have to say that I was very impressed with the hot cocoa. The cocoa was similar to one that I would buy from Starbucks. I also would recommend the sweet tea. It's not overly sweet and it comes with a lime. The little mugs are available for purchase at the register for $8.00. Be aware that you will be charged for any take out containers at a fee of .25 cents. Our waiter was attentive considering it was the busy hour.
Well, well. Another first for me. 🤔....
Okay okay, getting straight to it. Yes I would definitely eat from here again. 👌🏾 The Mexican Plate was the choice for tonight. For those who don’t know what that is, it’s an Enchilada plate with rice and beans and a crispy taco, of course with a side of tortillas. Starting with the sides first, the beans and rice are seasoned very well, not too little, not too much, right in that “this is it” lane. Great taste. The enchiladas were better than expected. I opted for the chili instead of the sauce, which I’m glad I did, because it was on point! All I can say is try it out for yourselves and see what I mean. Good Job Tink!👍🏾
Never been here. Over all was a good place to have breakfast. Had 3 Taco's and a tea. My Grandson had the grand breakfast with 2 pancakes. I'll be back soon. Clean place and even have a breakfast buffett.
The lunch buffet was really good and offered at a decent price. They had a variety of food for the buffet to include, cheese enchiladas, guisado, means, rice, chicken fajitas, menudo, picadillo and fideo. The best part of the meal were the fresh tortillas and iced tea. The customer service was exceptional.
New management took over, the restaurant is now called El Tipico Restaurant. The whole restaurant was renovated including a new beautiful SelenaS mural.
First time here. The food was fresh and hot and there was plenty of it. On the other hand, their chips and salsa left much to be desired as both were cold. Additionally, their salsa tasted like store bought. In my family, that's a huge faux pas. Reasonable prices. Dinner for 2 was $25
Best Barbacoa I have ever had, & that says alot. The service was outstanding also. I was in a hurry, so I just ran in for some tacos. The lady who waited on me was very sweet & their buffet looked legit. It was clean too. 6 stars!
The brunch buffet didn't have barbacoa this time around. Not sure if it's completely off the brunch buffet or just that day. But a bummer for sure especially on a Sunday morning. 😥
Food was delicious and so was the iced tea! Got the Mexican plate with enchiladas, rice, beans and a crispy taco. Everything was very tasty and seasoned just right. I will definitely go back there and recommend to others.
