Let me just say if the sandwiches are as good as the oatmeal cookie that I just had was they are getting 6stars. The 9 inch is the size of a baby see attached photo.
We absolutely LOVE Southwest Market Cuisine! The food is perfect! From the scrumptious sandwiches, salads, chicken n dumplings, fruit bowls, desserts, and let’s not forget the famous cookies that come with your meal! It’s all amazing! And to put the cherry on top- Kip- the owner is outstanding! He greets you in a such a warm and friendly way you walk out of there Iike you are family. He remembers our name every time and knows we always come after my daughter’s dr appts at Wash U. He asks how they went. Southwest Market Cuisine is our families favorite place to eat! It’s second to none! Highly recommend it to all our family and friends.
Super friendly staff! Always feel welcomed at this small business when I visit. & prices aren't bad. Very filling sandwhiches. & I always love the cookies!
Wow I haven't been there and what I found it has been 3 years. You can no longer go up to the counter and see all the beautiful food. They have but everything was still fantestic love that place That's a veggie sandwich with pepper cheese smoked potato salad and a oatmeal cookie
Great place for lunch. Sandwiches are loaded and fresh made to order no skimping here. The 3 1/2 Italian (pictured) is more like 7 inches long and plenty for one person. No comparison to the chain sub restaurants. Since the pandemic it's take out only.
I've driven past this unassuming place hundreds of times since I moved into the neighborhood in 2010, and decided to finally check it out. I was not disappointed!! My partner and I both got the roast beef sandwich with au jus. It was enormous, juicy, and delicious. Huge piles of meat! The clerk also threw in some free cookies for us. My partner thought the chocolate chip was the best-- I preferred the double chocolate, but both were tasty and fresh. Packaged perfectly for takeout, with the au jus wrapped securely in plastic wrap for travel. I also got a cup of strawberries as a side, and it was fresh and yummy.
I was falling in love with the ginormous happy plants in there, too. What are they feeding them to make them grow so big?! I've never seen such a huge dracaena! Happy pothos and philodendron, too!
We will be back :)
Great place to get a sandwich. We always try to stop by when we are in the area for lunch. The chicken salad with bacon is the best sandwich in town! The workers are always so nice and helpful.
I have been coming here since the late 70’s when it was a grocery store with a small sandwich shop in the back. Kip was a young man back then just like I was. I have ALWAYS gotten great food from his family and employees and I have eaten just about everything they make there. When ever I have traveled outside the St. Louis for a long period of time, one of the first places I go to when back in town is this sandwich shop. Not only to see someone I call a friend but also pick up one of the best sandwiches that can be made in the area. And it’s worth the drive even though I live 30 minutes away on the Illinois side of the river.
Super friendly and fast!!!! I had the poor boy it was fantastic 😊
I have been going here since grade school back in the Late 60s Kipps dad was working there at that time and the store then was called Oldanis and the sandwiches were outstanding nowadays kipp is continuing the legacy and doing an outstanding job and the sandwiches or as good s they were back then
