Some of the best sushi I have had in a long time! House made ponzu sauce and the freshest ingredients. Find this place! 😋

1st timer. Omg I had to wait till 4:30 to come in but it was worth the wait. The "light the beam" roll was my favorite. It's on the special menu. So good! The seaweed was so flavorful. The sake was delicious. The service was great. Definitely coming back. This will be my go to spot for now on.

Husband and I sat at the bar and were treated to fresh, creative, and delicious sushi. Chef Shaq was very engaging and took care of everyone, making sure we were having a great time and enjoying our food. We had Seafood Nachos, Uptown and Electric Eel Rolls, and Sashimi. Everything was delightful. We finished it off with the refreshing Tempura Ice Cream. I have a new favorite sushi place.

Food was immaculately presented, delicious and surprisingly well priced for what was offered. The ambience was warm and a little chic. I'm super impressed and will be back again. Try the BTS! I have had a version of this dish at several Japanese style restaurants in town but this was BY FAR the best. A great addition to Uptown. I cannot wait for my next visit.

Have you ever heard that sometimes the best restaurants are in the sketchiest parts of town? Well so far this is the best sushi spot in Sacramento, but it’s located in the wonderful Del Paso heights neighborhood. It is pricy and can get busy on the weekends, but the sushi is worth it for a nice date night. Parking can also sometimes be a problem as spaces are limited or sometimes occupied by homeless people. They have good specials here from time to time like their pork belly ramen bowl (pictured). I love salmon and they do a good crunchy salmon roll (pictured) and will add salmon if you ask. Our sushi chef at the bar (Shaq) doesn’t just create sushi-he creates art. Overall excellent sushi spot!

It was my first time here. I'm so glad I found this place! Excellent food! No fishy smell. The chef was considerate of my dietary restrictions and made me an off-menu gluten-free & dairy-free roll for me! They also had Tamari Gluten-free soy sauce. There was a bit of a wait due to them being busy. All in all, a great experience! Will definitely return.

I recently moved to North Sacramento and was blown away when I found this amazing local gem and my new go-to sushi spot. I'm almost afraid to post such a good review since the laid back vibe and dining room full of regular customers ready to share their favorite menu items and spark up friendly conversation is one of the best parts about this place. It seems that everyone that comes here can't help but keep coming back. They offer an imaginative menu with high quality ingredients and large portions at a reasonable price. They aren't pretentious about what they deliver, but everything is executed with a level of playfulness and finesse that keeps everyone coming back. Shout out to two of the masterminds we've had the pleasure of getting to know Kelly (FOH) and Shaq (sushi chef). Definitely do yourself a favor and check out the best sushi restaurant in Sacramento.

I really liked the tuna roll with sishito peppers and sambal, can't remember the name. The Roy.g.biv. roll was delicious as well, the Hamachi especially. The last roll that is crunchier side is also good. I think this sushi restaurant has decent prices and calmer atmosphere. The rolls aren't "super authentic" but their fish quality is decent, and not overly seasoned with eel sauce and spicy mayo. I enjoyed my dinner and service was quick.
